Whirling Strike Dash Blood Knight Guide
This Whirling Strike Dash Blood Knight is the fastest speed farm Blood Knight build and its competitive in PvP as well. Its very fast movement speed from dash abilities also makes it the best Blood Knight for doing tower wars, fast daily quests, and speed dungeon clears. The build uses the Whirling Strike dash ability along with Shadow's Edge, Skewer, Mephitic Cloud, and Swarm of Bats. With the recommended essences Whirling Strike dashes forward pulling enemies with you, Skewer dashes forward dragging enemies and immobilizing and stunning already immobilized enemies, Mephitic Cloud follows you dealing damage and draining life from enemies, and Swarm of Bats consumes your life while it hunts down enemies. Your Whirling Strike dash skill will have two charges in PvM and three charges in PvP, Mephitic Cloud increases your movement speed with an essence, and Skewer can have two charges which gives this build excellent movement speed. It also allows you to move around while attacking in PvP while dragging, stunning, and immobilizing opponents.​

Paragons & Legendary Skills: Whirling Strike Dash Blood Knight Build

1. Harbinger is the highest damage paragon because it improves your dash skills, movement speed, and critical hit chance.
2. Gladiator is the best PvP paragon tree for this build because it gives a cheat death and helps with loss of control.
3. Vanquisher is the best paragon tree for increased magic find and gives increased damage and attack speed on kills.
4. Harbinger can be used in Erebban for an absorb shield, movement speed, and to move unhindered through enemies.
5. Survivor is the recommended paragon for Vanguard because it has a cheat death that works in Vanguard.
6. The best paragon legendary skill for this build is Death's Release which causes explosions with continual damage.

3. Untouchable Mountebank (2 Set PvP) - Gives a 20% chance to gain an absorb shield when you take damage.
4. Issatar Imbued (optional 4 Set for speed) - Increases your movement speed and damage based on movement speed.

1. Lashed - Using your primary attack gives a chance to generate three crackling whips that damage enemies.
2. Atrophied - Continual damage causes a dark field to appear under enemies that deals damage over time.
3. Vexed - Releases a damaging roar when your summons enter the battlefield on cooldown.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems
1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.
2. Golden Firmament - Causes a ranged wind attack and increases your evasion rating.
3. ​Seeping Bile - Gives a 4% chance to poison enemies and slows enemies movement speed (triggers Pain Clasp).
4. Maw of the Deep - Can be used at a high rank to deal damage, gain a damage buff, draw in enemies, and stun enemies.
5. Starfire Shard - Useful for PvP to deal damage and stun enemies inside the Maw of the Deep legendary gem effect.
6. Frozen Heart (should be switched to for PvP) - Gives a life shield with a medium duration and chills enemies.
7. Void Spark - Deals AoE damage that's extremely effective in dungeons and the new PvP map.
8. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives a damage increase and a significant boost to movement speed. It's one of the best 5 star gems at high ranks for increased damage and one of the weakest 5 star gems for increased damage at lower ranks.​
Best 2 Star Legendary Gems
1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies with a continual damage effect on them.
2. Viper's Bite - Deals damage over time and triggers the damage increase on the Pain Clasp legendary gem.
3. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and causes a blood spike that makes enemies bleed.
4. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases your critical hit chance.
5. Fervent Fang - Gives enemies a stacking damage taken increase when they are hit by an attack.​
6. Crimson Behelit (PvP) - Great PvP two star legendary gem for increased damage and reduced damage taken.

Best 1 Star Legendary Gems
1. Everlasting Torment - A great budget option that deals damage over time on critical hits and increases your attack speed.
2. Entropic Well - An excellent one star gem for increased skill damage that can be replaced with a strong 5 star gem.
3. Berserker's Eye - Increases your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.
Note: Everlasting Torment should eventually be replaced with a 5 star Seeping Bile legendary gem for higher damage.

Best Familiars
1. Savior Duskprowler - The best option is a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler that has Savior which provides a cheat death. The 170+ Resilience lowers the cooldown for Savior but can be lower to make the familiar more affordable.
2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Can have Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.
3. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill because it gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice. Innervate which gives a chance at resetting the player's skill cooldown, Steel Hide which gives a chance to block, Precision which gives the shield critical hit chance, and Tenacity which lowers the cooldown of the shield are also desirable.
4. Magic Duskprowler - Duskprowler shields are hard to replace so a rare or magic ability Duskprowler is the budget option.
Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems
Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and Citrines for Potency which increases harmful effects duration in yellow sockets. You should also socket your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. You can optionally combine all of your Rubies which give life and Topazes which give resistances into one Ruby and one Topaz and use one of each in your equipment for higher refinement. Refinement is determined by the quality of the gem and increases the attributes of the gear the gem is socketed in.

Gem Notes
The new Colossus Engine legendary gem isn't included in the recommendations because it would take about rank 8 until it would be an upgrade over more easily accessible gems. The new Specter Glass two star legendary gem is one of the best two star gems for almost every build. Viper's Bite, Everlasting Torment, and Seeping Bile deal continual damage which triggers the damage increase on the Pain Clasp legendary gem. Golden Firmament is a fairly new 5 star legendary gem that has wind damage, increased evasion rating, and it triggers Firestorms when mixed with burning damage. Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament give increased critical hit chance so you should try and roll critical hit damage on every piece of gear with Reforge Stones when using them. Specter Glass is a strong legendary gem but your PvP set will already shatter enemies armor so it should be replaced with a Frozen Heart in PvP for an absorb shield and to chill opponents.​
