Abomination Blood Knight Skills and Equipment:

Bardiche of Below (PvM) - Whirling Strike now releases a large area of effect projectile blast and gains three charges.

Maw and Response (PvP) - Whirling Strike now counterattacks automatically with the recommended shoulder essence.

Woundwell (PvM) - Umbral Lance now instantly fires waves of projectiles and gains three charges.

Grimhound (PvP) - Abomination now also increases your damage the longer you remain near an enemy.

Main Hand 2​

Blotniffe (PvM) - Umbral Lance now also deals greatly increased damage the further away you are from the target.

Mangler's Grove (PvP) - Abomination now increases your attack speed based on how much life you have remaining.

Off-Hand 2

Fiendish Memento - Activating Abomination increases your damage. After Abomination your movement speed is increased.

Helmet

Fallen Light (PvM) - Mephitic Cloud now follows you dealing damage to nearby enemies.

Quenched Votary (PvP) - Transfusion shields now also greatly increase your life drain.

Chest

Unchained Fury - The Abomination skill Shattered Fists can now be charged dealing damage and increasing the critical hit damage taken by enemies.

Shoulders

Anchored Agony - Abomination continuously consumes your life to damage and slow nearby enemies, but you also heal yourself for a portion of the damage that you deal.

Twin Omens - Abomination gains the Crimson Claw skill which pulls enemies into you and prevents their dash skills.​

Recommended Sets

1. Gloomguide's Prize (4 Set) - Increases your damage and critical hit chance for three seconds after using a dash skill.

2. Vithu's Urges (2-4 Set) - Increases the duration of beneficial effects by 30% and gives an attack speed increase.

3. Untouchable Mountebank (PvP 2 Set) - Gives a chance to gain an absorb shield when you take damage.

Best Curses

1. Lashed - Use at least four items with this curse to make primary attacks generate three damaging whips on cooldown.

2. Tortured - Use four of this curse to leave a trail that burns enemies and immobilizes them when you use a dash skill.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.

2. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.

3. Golden Firmament - Causes multiple ranged wind attacks and increases your evasion rating.

4. Colossus Engine - Gives increased skill damage, increased area of effect, knockback immunity, and increased size (which increases your movement speed) for a medium duration with a 20 second cooldown.

5. Blood Floe - A solid five star gem that increases damage, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and causes bleed.

6. Starfire Shard - Deals AoE damage and stuns enemies in PvP inside the Maw of the Deep legendary gem effect.

7. Maw of the Deep - This gem deals damage, draws in enemies, stuns enemies, and increases enemies' damage taken.

8. ​Frozen Heart (PvP) - A strong legendary gem for PvP that gives an absorb shield and chills opponents.​

 

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Pain Clasp - Gives increased damage against enemies that have a continuous damage effect on them.

2. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and causes a blood spike that makes enemies bleed.

3. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases your critical hit chance.

4. Fervent Fang - Legacy gem that gives enemies a stacking damage taken increase when they are hit by an attack.​

5. Viper's Bite - Poisons enemies on cooldown which triggers the damage increase on the Pain Clasp gem.

6. Mourneskull - This legacy gem increases your damage and deals damage but it's currently drop disabled.

7. Igneous Scorn (PvM) - Deals damage on critical hits and increases your damage after critical hits.

8. Crimson Behelit - Strong PvP legacy gem with increased damage and reduced damage taken that's drop disabled.

Note: Pain Clasp, Crimson Behelit, and Mother's Lament are the top three 2 star gems and should be replaced last.

Best 1 Star Legendary Gems

1. Berserker's Eye (PvM) - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.

2. Entropic Well - An excellent budget one star gem with increased skill damage and increased attack speed.

3. Everlasting Torment - A great budget option that deals damage over time on critical hits and increases your attack speed.

Note: Berserker's Eye is a great one star legendary gem and requires a high ranked up 5 star gem to match its damage.

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler with the Savior passive skill which provides a cheat death and temporary damage immunity. The 170+ Resilience is important for lowering the cooldown of Savior.

2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Look for Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.

3. Any Savior Familiar - Look for any 170+ Resilience familiar with Savior for a cheat death and great passive skills.

4. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill because it gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice. Innervate which gives a chance at resetting one of the player's skill cooldowns, Steel Hide which gives a chance to block, Precision which gives critical hit chance, and Tenacity which lowers the cooldown of the shield are also desirable.

5. Magic Duskprowler - Duskprowler shields are hard to replace so a rare or magic ability Duskprowler is the budget option.

Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems

Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and a combination of Citrines and Topazes for potency and resistances in yellow sockets for the highest refinement. Potency increases harmful effects durations on enemies and resistances decrease harmful effects durations on you. Citrines for potency is preferred if you only care about PvM damage but resistances come into play more with PvP. You should also use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. You can optionally combine all of your bound Rubies which give life into one or two Rubies and socket them into your equipment if they give more refinement. Gems give refinement based on their quality and refinement increases the attributes on the equipment the gems are socketed in.

Gem Notes

The new Haunt Coil five star gem can be used for PvP to reduce your damage taken against one target by up to 45% for a duration. The Blood Floe gem is strong when it's combined with multiple sources of critical hit chance and critical hit damage. The Colossus Engine gem is great because it increases your skill damage, increases your area of effect, gives knockback immunity, and increases your size which also increases your movement speed. The Golden Firmament 5 star legendary gem is a very strong gem that deals wind damage, increases evasion rating, and it triggers Firestorms when mixed with burning damage which increases your wind damage. When using increased critical hit chance legendary gems you should consider rolling critical hit damage on every piece of equipment with Reforge Stones. A lower priority legendary gem can also be switched to the Frozen Heart legendary gem for PvP for an absorb shield and to chill opponents.​
