Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.​

2. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.

3. Golden Firmament - Casts wind blades at enemies that deal damage and increases your evasion rating.

4. Colossus Engine - Gives increased skill damage, increased area of effect, knockback immunity, and increased size (which increases your movement speed) for a medium duration with a 20 second cooldown.

5. Fated Trail - Deals damage based on your maximum life, traps enemies, shatters enemies' armor, and deals damage.

6. Blood Floe - Lower priority 5 star gem that increases damage, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and causes bleed.

7. Seeping Bile - Gives a chance to poison enemies on cooldown and lowers their movement speed.

8. Void Spark (PvM) - Deals massive AoE damage that's effective for challenge dungeons, terror rifts, and speed farming.

9. Frozen Heart (PvP) - This five star gem gives an absorb shield and chills opponents in PvP fights.​​​

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies that have a continuous damage effect on them.

2. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and releases a blood spike that causes enemies to bleed.

3. Fervent Fang - Increases the damage taken by enemies each time they're hit stacking up to 10 times.

4. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases your critical hit chance.

5. Mourneskull - Great legacy gem that increases your damage and deals damage but it's drop disabled.

6. Viper's Bite - Lower priority two star legendary gem that deals damage over time and slows enemies attack speed.

7. Igneous Scorn (PvM) - Can be used with Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament to deal damage on critical hits. This gem is the lowest priority and it should be the first to be replaced with a ranked up five star legendary gem.

8. Crimson Behelit - Strong legacy gem that gives increased damage and reduced damage taken but it's drop disabled.

Note: Pain Clasp, Crimson Behelit, and Mother's Lament are the top three 2 star gems and should be replaced last.

Best 1 Star Legendary Gems

1. Berserker's Eye (PvM) - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.

​2. Entropic Well - A great budget one star legendary gem that increases your skill damage and attack speed.

3. Everlasting Torment - Deals damage over time on critical hits and increases your attack speed.

Note: Berserker's Eye is a great one star legendary gem and requires a high ranked up 5 star gem to match its damage.

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler with the Savior passive skill which provides a cheat death and temporary damage immunity. The 170+ Resilience on the familiar lowers the cooldown of Savior.

2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Can have Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.

3. Ash Sweeper - Ash Sweepers are strong, especially in PvP, because they damage nearby enemies and mark an enemy reducing their damage by 20% for 3 seconds. They can also have 170+ Resilience which reduces the cooldown of Savior.

4. Any Savior Familiar - You can use any familiar with Savior for a cheat death and great passive skills as an alternative.

5. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill because it gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice. Innervate gives a chance at resetting one of the player's skill cooldowns, Steel Hide gives a chance to block, Precision gives critical hit chance, and Tenacity lowers the cooldown of the Duskprowler shield which are also desirable.

Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems

Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and a combination of Citrines and Topazes for potency and resistances in yellow sockets for the highest refinement. Potency increases harmful effects durations on enemies and resistances decrease harmful effects durations on you. Citrines for potency is preferred if you only care about PvM damage but resistances come into play more with PvP. You should also use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. You can optionally combine all of your bound Rubies which give life into one or two Rubies and socket them into your equipment if they give more refinement. Gems give refinement based on their quality and refinement increases the attributes on the equipment the gems are socketed in.

Gem Notes

The new Fated Trail five star legendary gem is a powerful gem once you have high maximum life from ranked up five star gems. The fairly new Blood Floe five star gem is a strong gem when it's combined with multiple sources of increased critical hit chance and critical hit damage. The Colossus Engine gem is great because it increases your skill damage, gives temporary knockback immunity, and increases movement speed from its size increase. The Frozen Heart five star gem is great for PvP to improve your defenses by giving an absorb shield and chilling opponents. You should also consider rolling increased critical hit damage with Reforge Stones when using increased critical hit chance legendary gems.​​
