Thistle Bloom - Arcane Wind now creates a storm that draws enemies in.

Alder Crystal (PvP) - Freezes chilled enemies inside your Arcane Wind on cooldown.

Asymmetric Reality (PvM) - Disintegrate drains energy from opponents recovering energy each time it hits.

Scourcut (PvP) - Increases the range of Disintegrate which is important for PvP.

Off-Hand 2

Windwrought Amber (PvM) - Arcane Wind now has a reduced cooldown.

Weathering Eye (PvP) - Slows enemies when they are hit by your Arcane Wind.

Silver Lining (PvM) - Black Hole increases damage done for a medium duration.

Pillars of the Schools (PvP) - Ice Crystal shatters enemies armor increasing their damage taken.

Searing Judgment - Disintegrate changes to fire damage and burns enemies.

Chest

Nor the Hail-Nursed (PvM) - Ice Armor now also decreases your damage taken.

Frostreaver's Garments (PvP) - Ice Crystal now has greater damage over time and causes a stacking chill.

Legs

Greaves of the Firmament - Disintegrate now deals additional damage every three hits.

Recommended Sets

1. Grace of the Flagellant (6 Set) - Deals additional damage after every 5 hits and has a 4% chance to deal high damage.

2. Banquet of Eyes (2 Set) - Increases your damage by 15% when enemies have a damage over time effect on them.

3. Untouchable Mountebank (2 Set) - Great for PvP for a large life shield which improves your survival.

Best Curses

1. Atrophied - Continual damage causes a dark field to appear under enemies that deals damage over time.​

2. Wired - Creates a surge of lightning on kill that jumps between enemies with a medium length cooldown.

3. Ghosted - Summons a minion to take some of your incoming damage and increases your attack and movement speed.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.

2. Golden Firmament (PvM only) - Deals wind damage and increases evasion (the range is too short for PvP on this build).

3. ​Seeping Bile - Gives a 4% chance to poison and slows enemies movement speed (also triggers the Pain Clasp gem).

4. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives a large damage increase at high levels and a significant boost to movement speed.

5. Maw of the Deep - Used at high ranks to deal damage, gain a damage buff, draw in enemies, and stun enemies.

6. ​Starfire Shard (PvP) - Stuns enemies inside your Maw of the Deep legendary gem and deals damage.​

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies with a continual damage effect on them.

2. Viper's Bite - Poisons enemies and triggers the damage increase on the Pain Clasp legendary gem.

3. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and releases a blood spike that causes enemies to bleed.

4. Fervant Fang - Gives a stacking damage increase and increases your damage against elites and bosses.

5. Igneous Scorn (PvM only) - Can be combined with critical hit chance legendary gems to deal damage on critical hits.

Note: Igneous Scorn is the weakest 2 star gem in this group and should be the first to be replaced with a 5 star gem.

Best Starter 1 Star Legendary Gems

1. Entropic Well - An excellent one star legendary gem that increases your skill damage and attack speed.

2. Berserker's Eye - Increases your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.

​3. Everlasting Torment - Deals damage over time on crits which triggers the damage increase on Pain Clasp.

Note: These gems should be replaced eventually once you can afford higher resonance two or five star gems.

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler that has Savior which provides a cheat death. The 170+ Resilience lowers the cooldown for Savior but can be lower to make it more affordable.

2. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill and gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice in 3 seconds. Innervate which gives a chance at resetting the player's skill cooldown, Steel Hide which gives a chance to block, Precision which gives the shield critical hit chance, and Tenacity which lowers the cooldown of the shield are also desirable.

3. Magic Duskprowler - Duskprowler shields are hard to replace so a rare ability or magic Duskprowler is the budget option.

Regular Gems

Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and Citrines for Potency which increases harmful effects durations in yellow sockets. You should use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. Refinement from a gem increases the main stats of the piece of equipment the gem is socketed in. You can optionally combine all of your Rubies which give life and Topazes which give resistances into one Ruby and one Topaz and socket one of each in your equipment for a higher level of refinement.​

Gem Notes

The new Colossus Engine legendary gem isn't included in the recommendations because it would take about rank 8 until it would be an upgrade over other more easily accessible options. Viper's Bite and Seeping Bile deal continual damage which are used to trigger the damage increase on the Pain Clasp legendary gem and deal damage over time. Golden Firmament is a strong new 5 star gem that has wind damage, increased evasion, and triggers Firestorms when mixed with burning damage. Golden Firmament should be used in PvM only on this build because its range is too short for this build in PvP. Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament both give increased critical hit chance and pair well with Everlasting Torment and Igneous Scorn which deal damage on critical hits. However, both Igneous Scorn and Everlasting Torment are low priority gems and they should eventually be replaced with leveled 5 star gems. You should also consider rolling critical hit damage on every piece of gear with Reforge Stones when using critical hit gems. The Frozen Heart legendary gem is not recommended on this build because damage is more important than a damage shield on this ranged attacking build.​
