Stickle Burr (PvM) - Magic Missile now also deals damage on critical hits.

Weathering Eye (PvP) - Arcane Wind now also lowers enemies movement speed.

Lost Seconds - Slow Time now also has a reduced cooldown.

Blaster Caster (PvM) - Magic Missile fires two additional missiles that each deal low to moderate damage.​​

Windwrought Amber (PvP) - Arcane Wind now has a significantly reduced cooldown.

Terminus Facade - Slow Time causes your non-channeled skills to decrease cooldowns and increase movement speed.

Stag of Ill Omen - Meteor also increases your damage for a short duration.

Halycon Cascade - Meteor also increases your critical hit chance stacking up to 3 times.

Apocalypse Root - Gives Meteor 3 charges for more burst damage and cooldown recovery with the recommended helmet.

Recommended Sets

1. Grace of the Flagellant (6 Set) - Increases continuous damage and channeled damage, deals bonus damage every 5 times you deal damage to an enemy, and gives a 4% chance to deal high damage with a 40 second cooldown.

2. Untouchable Mountebank (2 Set) - Great for PvP for a large absorb shield which improves your survival.

Best Curses

1. Lashed - Use at least four items with this curse to make primary attacks cause three damaging whips on cooldown.

2. Wired - Optional to create a surge of lightning on kill that jumps between enemies with a medium length cooldown.

​3. Ghosted (PvP) - Optional for PvP to summon a minion to take some of your incoming damage.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.

2. Maw of the Deep - Useful at a decent rank to deal damage, gain a damage buff, draw in enemies, and stun enemies.

3. ​Starfire Shard - Deals AoE damage and stuns enemies in PvP inside the Maw of the Deep legendary gem effect.​

4. Maw of the Deep - Used at a high rank to deal damage, gain a damage buff, draw in enemies, and stun enemies.

5. Blood Floe - Lower priority 5 star gem that increases damage, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and causes bleed.

6. Colossus Engine - Gives increased skill damage, increased area of effect, knockback immunity, and increased size (which increases your movement speed) for a medium duration with a 20 second cooldown.

7. Blood-Soaked Jade (PvM) - Increases damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and gives movement speed.

8. ​Seeping Bile (PvP) - Gives a 4% chance to poison enemies and slows their movement speed which is important in PvP.

9. Void Spark (PvM) - Deals AoE damage that's very effective for challenge dungeons, terror rifts, and speed farming.​​

10. Stormvault (Optional PvP) - At rank 5+ it slow enemies movement speed inside a storm and deals damage over time.​​

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies that have a continuous damage effect on them.

2. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and releases a blood spike that causes enemies to bleed.

3. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases your critical hit chance.

4. Fervent Fang - Gives a stacking damage increase and increases your damage against elites and bosses.​

5. Mourneskull - This legacy gem increases your damage and deals damage but it's also drop disabled.

6. Igneous Scorn (PvM) - Can be used with Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament to deal damage on critical hits. Igneous Scorn is the lowest priority 2 star gem and should be the first to be replaced with a rank 4+ five star gem.

7. Crimson Behelit (PvP) - Strong legacy PvP gem with increased damage and reduced damage taken that's drop disabled.

Note: Viper's Bite isn't needed to trigger the damage increase on Pain Clasp from there being damage over time on the enemy because the Arcane Wind skill with the Thistle Bloom weapon essence already deals damage over time.

Best 1 Star Legendary Gems

1. Berserker's Eye (PvM) - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.

2. Entropic Well - A strong budget 1 star legendary gem that increases your skill damage and attack speed.

​3. Everlasting Torment - A great budget gem that deals damage over time on critical hits and increases your attack speed.

Note: Berserker's Eye is a great one star legendary gem that requires a high ranked up 5 star gem to match its damage.

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler with the Savior passive skill which provides a cheat death and temporary damage immunity. The 170+ Resilience on the familiar lowers the cooldown of Savior.

2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Look for Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.

3. Any Savior Familiar - Look for any 170+ Resilience familiar with Savior for a cheat death and great passive skills.

4. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill because it gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice. Innervate which gives a chance at resetting one of the player's skill cooldowns, Steel Hide which gives a chance to block, Precision which gives critical hit chance, and Tenacity which lowers the cooldown of the shield are also desirable.

5. Magic Duskprowler - Duskprowler shields are hard to replace so a rare or magic ability Duskprowler is the budget option.

Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems

Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and Citrines for potency which increases harmful effects durations in yellow sockets. You should also use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. You can optionally combine all of your bound Rubies which give life and Topazes which give resistances and socket them into your equipment if they give higher refinement. Gems give refinement based on their quality and refinement is used to increase the attributes on the pieces of equipment the gems are socketed in.

Gem Notes

The Blood Floe gem is a great option when it's combined with multiple sources of critical hit chance and critical hit damage. The fairly new Colossus Engine legendary five star gem is great for this build because it provides burst damage, increased area of effect, and a size increase which also increases your movement speed. The Seeping Bile legendary gem is great for PvP and has the added benefit of slowing the movement speed of opponents inside of your Arcane Wind storms. The Golden Firmament legendary gem isn't recommended because it has too short of a range for this long ranged build. When using increased critical hit chance legendary gems you should also consider rolling critical hit damage on every piece of equipment using Reforge Stones for increased damage. The Frozen Heart gem should also be switched to for PvP for an absorb shield and to chill opponents which makes it more difficult for opponents to escape your Arcane Wind storm.​
