Thistle Bloom - Arcane Wind now creates a storm that draws enemies in.

Weathering Eye (PvP) - Arcane Wind now also lowers enemies movement speed.

Ice Spike - Every 5 seconds, Magic Missile becomes a Frost Missile dealing more damage.

Blaster Caster (PvM) - Magic Missile fires two additional missiles that deal low to moderate damage.​​

Windwrought Amber (PvP) - Arcane Wind now has a significantly reduced cooldown.

Terminus Facade - Slow Time causes your non-channeled skills to decrease cooldowns and increase movement speed.

Stag of Ill Omen - Meteor also increases your damage for a short duration.

Halycon Cascade - Meteor also increases your critical hit chance stacking up to 3 times.

Apocalypse Root - Gives Meteor 3 charges for more burst damage and cooldown recovery with the recommended helmet.

Recommended Sets

1. Grace of the Flagellant (6 Set) - Deals damage every 5 hits (includes DoTs) and has a 4% chance to deal more damage.

2. Untouchable Mountebank (2 Set) - Great for PvP for a large life shield which improves your survival.

Best Curses

1. Lashed - Using your primary attack gives a chance to generate three crackling whips that damage enemies.

2. Atrophied - Continual damage causes a dark field to appear under enemies that deals damage over time.​

3. Wired - Creates a surge of lightning on kill that jumps between enemies with a medium length cooldown.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.

2. Golden Firmament (PvM only) - Deals wind damage and gives evasion but has too short of a range for PvP on this build.

3. ​Seeping Bile - Gives a 4% chance to poison enemies and slows enemies movement speed (triggers Pain Clasp).

4. Maw of the Deep - Useful at a decent rank to deal damage, gain a damage buff, draw in enemies, and stun enemies.

5. ​Starfire Shard - This gem is useful in PvP to stun enemies inside other crowd control effects like Maw of the Deep.

6. Frozen Heart (important for PvP for chill) - Gives a life shield for a medium duration and chills enemies on hit.

7. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives a damage increase and a significant boost to movement speed. It's one of the best 5 star gems at high ranks for damage and one of the lowest priority 5 star gems for damage at lower ranks.​

 

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies with a continual damage effect on them.

2. Viper's Bite - Poisons enemies and triggers the damage increase on the Pain Clasp legendary gem.

3. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and releases a blood spike that causes enemies to bleed.

4. Fervant Fang - Gives a stacking damage increase and increases your damage against elites and bosses.

5. Power & Command - Alternates between increased skill damage and increased primary damage and sometimes dispels.

Best Starter 1 Star Legendary Gems

1. Entropic Well - An excellent one star legendary gem that increases your skill damage and attack speed.

2. Berserker's Eye - Increases your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.

​3. Everlasting Torment - Deals damage over time on crits which triggers the damage increase on Pain Clasp.

Note: You should replace Everlasting Torment once you have a 5 star Seeping Bile gem which also triggers Pain Clasp.

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler with Savior which provides a cheat death. The 170+ Resilience lowers the cooldown for Savior but can be lower to make the Duskprowler more affordable.

2. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill and gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice in 3 seconds. Innervate which gives a chance at resetting the player's skill cooldown, Steel Hide which gives a chance to block, Precision which gives the shield critical hit chance, and Tenacity which lowers the cooldown of the shield are also desirable.

3. Magic Duskprowler - Duskprowler shields are hard to replace so a rare ability or magic Duskprowler is the budget option.

Regular Gems

Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and Citrines for Potency which increases harmful effects durations in yellow sockets. You should use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. You can optionally combine all of your Rubies which give life and Topazes which give resistances and socket one or two of each into your equipment. Gems give refinement based on their quality and refinement is used to increase the main stats on pieces of equipment.​

Gem Notes

The new Colossus Engine legendary gem isn't included in the recommendations because it would take about rank 8 until it would be a significant upgrade over other more easily accessible options. The Viper's Bite, Seeping Bile, and Everlasting Torment legendary gems deal damage over time which triggers the damage increase on the Pain Clasp legendary gem. Everlasting Torment isn't necessary, however, once you can replace it with a leveled 5 star Seeping Bile which triggers Pain Clasp and gives enemies slowed movement speed inside your Arcane Wind. The Golden Firmament legendary gem can be used on this build in PvM for wind damage and increased evasion rating but its range is too short for this build for PvP. Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament give increased critical hit chance and work well with Everlasting Torment which deals damage over time on critical hits. You should also consider rolling critical hit damage on every piece of equipment with Reforge Stones when using Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament. The Frozen Heart legendary gem should be switched to for PvP for an absorb shield and is very helpful for chilling enemies inside your Arcane Wind storm.​
