The Craw - Werebear now increases your attack range and maximum life.

Mauler's Mitts - Crush (Werebear) now empowers your primary attacks to damage nearby enemies and causes critical hits to deal additional damage.

Rattling Shell - Each summoned wolf increases your movement speed by 20%, stacking up to 60%.

Tuskguard (PvM) - Summon Oak Sage now attacks nearby enemies and deals additional damage if they're burning.

Goring Brace (PvP) - Ferocious Strike generates additional Primal Power on hit.

Note: Goring Brace is used in PvP because the Summon Oak Sage skill should be switched to Rabid Might in PvP.

Helmet

Bounding Accuracy - Bound (Werebear) now leaps to a target damaging all nearby enemies and increases the attack speed and critical hit chance of your primary attacks.

Chest

Coat of Fecundity (PvM) - Gives the Thorn Armor skill an aura that causes burning enemies to take additional damage.

Barbmantle (PvP) - Thorn Armor now shields only you and damages nearby enemies

Shoulders

Bar-Ghaist Beacon - Summon Wolves now summons two fire wolves that burn enemies when they attack.

Note: This shoulder essence makes Summon Wolves burn enemies which causes enemies to take additional damage with Thorn Armor and Summon Oak Sage when using the recommended PvM essences.

Legs

Shattergrouse (PvM) - Crush (Werebear) now also shatters enemies armor causing them to take increased damage.​

Mudrooters (PvP) - Summon Wolves heal themselves with their damage.

Recommended Sets

1. Grace of the Flagellant (4 Set) - Deals added damage to enemies after every 5 times they take damage.

2. Shepherd's Call to Wolves (PvM 4 Set) - Increases your critical hit chance base on how many minions you have out.

3. Untouchable Mountebank (PvP 4 Set) - Great for PvP for a chance to gain an absorb shield.

Best Curses

1. Lashed - Use at least four items with this curse to make primary attacks generate three damaging whips on cooldown.

2. Wired - Optional for PvM to create an AoE damage surge of lightning on kill that jumps between enemies on cooldown.

3. Ghosted (PvP) - Useful for PvP to summon a minion that takes some of your incoming damage for you.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.

2. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.

3. Golden Firmament - Causes multiple ranged wind attacks and increases your evasion rating.

4. Blood Floe - A strong legendary gem that increases damage, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and causes bleed.

5. Starfire Shard - Deals area of effect damage, creates ground damage that burns enemies, and stuns enemies.​

6. Maw of the Deep - Draws in enemies, damages enemies, gives a damage buff, and stuns enemies.

7. Echoing Shade - Summons 1-3 minions which increases your damage when using the Shepherd Call to Wolves set.

8. Wulfheort (PvM) - Slashes enemies after they're damaged 5 times and increases you and your allies attack speeds.

9. Frozen Heart (PvP) - Gives an absorb shield for a medium duration and chills opponents.​

Note: Echoing Shade should only be used in PvM because its minions are strifed and have a reduced duration in PvP.

 

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies that have a continuous damage effect on them.

2. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and causes a blood spike that makes enemies bleed.

3. Viper's Bite - Poisons enemies which triggers the damage increase on the Pain Clasp legendary gem.

4. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases your critical hit chance.

5. Fervent Fang - Gives enemies a stacking damage taken increase when they're hit by attacks.​

6. Igneous Scorn - Can be combined with critical hit chance legendary gems to deal damage on critical hits.

7. Mourneskull - This legacy gem increases your damage and deals damage but it's currently drop disabled.

8. Crimson Behelit - A strong legacy gem with increased damage and reduced damage taken that's drop disabled.

Best 1 Star Legendary Gems

1. Berserker's Eye (PvM) - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.

2. Freedom and Devotion (PvM) - A budget gem that increases the duration of your minions and increases their damage.

3. Everlasting Torment - A great budget option that deals damage over time on critical hits and increases your attack speed.

Note: The Entropic Well one star gem isn't recommended because skill damage increases don't work on your minions.

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler with the Savior passive skill which provides a cheat death and temporary damage immunity. The 170+ Resilience is important for lowering the cooldown of Savior.

2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Look for Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.

3. Any Savior Familiar - Look for any 170+ Resilience familiar with Savior for a cheat death and great passive skills.

4. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill because it gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice. Innervate which gives a chance at resetting one of the player's skill cooldowns, Steel Hide which gives a chance to block, Precision which gives critical hit chance, and Tenacity which lowers the cooldown of the shield are also desirable.

5. Magic Duskprowler - Duskprowler shields are hard to replace so a rare or magic ability Duskprowler is the budget option.

Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems

Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and a combination of Citrines and Topazes for potency and resistances in yellow sockets for the highest refinement. Potency increases harmful effects durations on enemies and resistances decrease harmful effects durations on you. Citrines for potency is preferred if you only care about PvM damage but resistances come into play more with PvP. You should also use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. You can optionally combine all of your bound Rubies which give life into one or two Rubies and socket them into your equipment if they give more refinement. Gems give refinement based on their quality and refinement increases the attributes on the equipment the gems are socketed in.

Gem Notes

The Blood Floe gem is a great option when it's combined with multiple sources of critical hit chance and critical hit damage. The Echoing Shade legendary gem deals surprisingly high single target damage with the Druids powerful primary attacks at a low to mid resonance and increases your minion count for the increased critical hit chance from the Shepherd's Call to Wolves set. The Golden Firmament legendary gem is a strong five star gem that deals wind damage, increases evasion rating, and creates Firestorms when mixed with burning damage which increases your wind damage. When using multiple increased critical hit chance legendary gems you should also consider using Reforge Stones to roll increased critical hit damage on your equipment for increased damage. Your lowest priority legendary gem can also be replaced with a Frozen Heart five star legendary gem for PvP for an absorb shield and to chill opponents which improves your survival.​
