Helmet

Valehallow's Head - Bone Spike gives a mount that increases your movement speed by 30% and damages and knocks back enemies.​ With the Blood-Soaked Jade legendary gem (10% increased movement speed) and other movement speed increases you can easily reach the cap for increased movement speed (50% increased movement speed) on this build.

Shoulders

Linger-Mantle - Dark Curse now also has increased duration.

Chest

None Elude - Dark Curse now also increases the chance for enemies to be critically hit by you.

Legs

Fulsome Feeding - Dark Curse now deals damage in an area around you and spawns corpses.

Bleak Augury (speed farm) - Wraith Form now gives 50% increased movement speed and high evasion rating.

Note: The corpses created by Fulsome Feeding are important for creating bone vortexes with Corpse Lance.

Recommended Sets

1. Grace of the Flagellant (6 Set) - Increases continuous damage and channeled damage, deals bonus damage every 5 times you deal damage to an enemy, and gives a 4% chance to deal high damage with a 40 second cooldown.

2. Vithu's Urges (2 Set) - Increases your beneficial effects durations by 30%.

Best Curses

1. Lashed - Use at least four items with this curse to make primary attacks generate three damaging whips on cooldown.

2. Wired - Optional for AoE damage to create a surge of lightning on kill that jumps between enemies on cooldown.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.​

2. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.

3. Golden Firmament - Deals wind damage and increases your evasion rating.

4. Colossus Engine - Gives increased skill damage, increased area of effect, knockback immunity, and increased size (which increases your movement speed) for a medium duration with a 20 second cooldown.

5. ​Starfire Shard - Deals AoE damage and stuns enemies in PvP inside the Maw of the Deep legendary gem effect.

6. Blood Floe - Lower priority 5 star gem that increases damage, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and causes bleed.

7. Maw of the Deep - Used in PvP at a high rank to deal damage, gain a damage buff, draw in enemies, and stun enemies.

8. Void Spark (PvM) - Deals AoE damage that's very effective for challenge dungeons, terror rifts, and speed farming.

9. ​Frozen Heart (PvP) - A strong legendary gem for PvP that gives an absorb shield and chills opponents.​​​

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies that have a continuous damage effect on them.

2. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and releases a blood spike that causes enemies to bleed.

3. Fervent Fang - Increases the damage taken by enemies each time they are hit stacking up to 10 times.

4. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases critical hit chance.

5. Mourneskull - Great legacy gem that increases your damage and deals damage but it's drop disabled.

6. Igneous Scorn - Can be used with Roiling Consequence and/or Mother's Lament to deal damage on critical hits. Igneous Scorn is the lowest priority two star legendary gem here and should be the first one to be replaced with a five star gem.

7. Crimson Behelit - Strong legacy gem for increased damage and reduced damage taken that's drop disabled.

Note: Pain Clasp is already triggered by Dark Curse so you won't need the Viper's Bite or Seeping Bile gems to trigger it.

Best 1 Star Legendary Gems

1. Berserker's Eye - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.

​2. Entropic Well - A great budget one star legendary gem that increases your skill damage and attack speed.

3. Everlasting Torment - Deals damage over time on critical hits and increases your attack speed.

Note: Berserker's Eye is a great one star legendary gem and requires a high ranked up 5 star gem to match its damage.

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler with the Savior passive skill which provides a cheat death and temporary damage immunity. The 170+ Resilience on the familiar lowers the cooldown of Savior.

2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Can have Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.

3. Any Savior Familiar - Look for any 170+ Resilience familiar with Savior for a cheat death and great passive skills.

4. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill because it gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice. Innervate which gives a chance at resetting one of the player's skill cooldowns, Steel Hide which gives a chance to block, Precision which gives critical hit chance, and Tenacity which lowers the cooldown of the shield are also desirable.

5. Magic Duskprowler - Duskprowler shields are hard to replace so a rare or magic ability Duskprowler is the budget option.

Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems

Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and a combination of Citrines and Topazes for potency and resistances in yellow sockets for the highest refinement. Potency increases harmful effects durations on enemies and resistances decrease harmful effects durations on you. Citrines for potency is preferred if you only care about PvM damage but resistances come into play more with PvP. You should also use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. You can optionally combine all of your bound Rubies which give life into one or two Rubies and socket them into your equipment if they give more refinement. Gems give refinement based on their quality and refinement increases the attributes on the equipment the gems are socketed in.

Gem Notes

The Blood Floe five star legendary gem is a great option when it's combined with multiple sources of critical hit chance. The fairly new Colossus Engine five star legendary gem is great for this build because it increases your burst damage every 20 seconds for when you're speed farming. The Viper's Bite and Seeping Bile legendary gems aren't needed to trigger the damage increase on the Pain Clasp legendary gem from having continuous damage on the target because it's triggered by the Dark Curse skill. Golden Firmament is a strong legendary gem that has wind damage, increased evasion rating, and it triggers Firestorms when mixed with burning damage which gives increased wind damage. When using increased critical hit chance gems you should consider rolling increased critical hit damage on your equipment using Reforge Stones. The Frozen Heart gem is recommended for PvP but you shouldn't PvP with this build because it's primarily a speed farm build.​
