Diablo Immortal: The Sentinel's Stand Guide

Introduction: Sentinel's Stand Guide

The Sentinel's Stand event requires you to keep enemies from reaching their objective the Shardstorm at the beginning of the map. You can't attack them directly but you can construct towers to fight them in the yellow circles throughout the area. The only three towers you need to finish Sentinel's Stand at 100% Untainted Life Remaining are Lightning Towers, Gust Towers, and Boltcasters. Below you can find the most effective tower setups for each wave of enemies.

Towers

The Lightning Tower is the best tower for damage in this event because it attacks multiple enemies. At rank two it hits more enemies, at rank three it deals more damage, and at rank four it stuns enemies. The Gust Tower is effective against armored enemies like Shardborn Goliaths and has a large knockback effect. When ranked up it deals increased damage, knocks enemies back further, and pierces enemies armor. The third tower type that is needed is the Boltcaster which is strong against the Shardtorn enemy type which has a shield. At higher ranks it deals increased damage, attacks faster, and pierces enemies. The different monster types and what towers to use against them can be found in the next section.

Tier 1: Dourflies

Dourflies are fast moving so one ranked up Lightning Tower won't be enough. You should place two separate Lightning Towers in the middle yellow circles and upgrade the one closest to the enemy spawn first to stun enemies. You should rank up the second Lightning Tower on later waves. Dourflies get stronger each wave but don't have a second monster type.

Tier 1: Pebbleskins

The Pebbleskins are slow moving but attack in large numbers so simply place one Lightning Tower in the third yellow circle from the spawning area and upgrade it to level two so that it hits more enemies for the first wave. You'll need the two tower spots in the yellow circles closer to the Shardstorm open and unused for the next monster type.

Tier 2: Pebbleskins & Shardborne Goliaths

The Pebbleskins are slow moving but attack in large numbers so place one Lightning Tower in the third yellow circle from the Shardstorm and upgrade it to level two for the first wave. You'll need the tower spot behind it for a Gust Tower to pierce enemies' armor and to knock enemies back to the Lightning Tower. You should fully upgrade the Lightning Tower first to stun enemies before upgrading the Gust Tower. You should add a Lightning Tower in the yellow circle closest to the Shardstorm after fully upgrading the front Lightning Tower to finish off any enemies that make it through.

Tier 2: Pebbleskins & Shardtorns

Once again the Pebbleskins are slow moving and attack in large numbers so place one Lightning Tower in the third yellow circle from spawn and upgrade it to rank two for the first wave. You'll need the tower spot behind it for a Boltcaster tower which is strong against shielded enemies like Shardtorns. The Lightning Tower is used to kill the Pebbleskins and the Boltcaster is used to single out and kill the Shardtorns. On the final wave you should also construct and rank up another Boltcaster to rank four in the yellow circle closest to the Shardstorm.

Tier 2: Pebbleskins & Dourflies

The Pebbleskins are slow moving and attack in numbers and they're easily countered by a rank two Lightning Tower in the third yellow circle from the Shardstorm. You should construct another Lightning Tower in the second yellow circle from the Shardstorm because Dourflies are weak against two Lightning Towers. Upgrade the first Lightning Tower to rank four first to deal more damage and stun enemies. After the first tower is fully upgraded you should rank up the second Lightning Tower to rank four. You should have at least two rank four Lightning Towers on this pathway by the end of the event.
