Sweep Attack Crusader Guide
The Sweep Attack Crusader with Sacred Fire, Condemn, Judgment, and Draw and Quarter is the highest damage AoE Crusader build and it also has great mobility for speed farming content. It is, however, a PvE only build and it's not meant for PvP. If you are looking for a high damage PvP build you can also check out the Sacred Fire Primary Skill Crusader build in the menu (you can switch between builds at your armory anytime you wish). With the recommended legendary items Sweep Attack makes your primary attacks (including primary attacks on your horse) sweep in arcs to deal area damage, Draw and Quarter allows you to ride a horse for improved mobility and gives a holy damage aura, Judgment causes fire to rain down around you, and Condemn empowers your primary attacks (including on your horse). Your damage over time effects will also be instantly consumed with the Torrential Refrain offhand. This allows you to repeatedly instantly consume damage over time effects instead of just refreshing their duration every time you hit an enemy.

Paragons & Legendary Skills: Sweep Attack Crusader Build

1. Slayer is the highest damage paragon because it increases the damage of your primary skills and continual damage.
2. Gladiator is the best PvP paragon tree for this build because it gives a cheat death and helps with loss of control.
3. Vanquisher is the best paragon tree for increased magic find and gives increased damage and attack speed on kills.
4. Harbinger can be used in Erebban for an absorb shield, movement speed, and moving unhindered through enemies.
5. Survivor is the recommended paragon for Vanguard so that deaths take you to one life instead of killing you.
6. The best paragon legendary skill for this build is Death's Release which causes explosions with continual damage.

Main Hand
Remonstrant Mace - Sweep Attack now grants you a holy flail that causes your primary attacks to sweep through enemies.

Torrential Refrain - Condemn now instantly triggers all continual damage on the target it hits. This causes damage over time to trigger its full duration instead of just refreshing the damage over time when you hit the enemy.

Recommended Sets
1. Vithu's Urges (2 Set) - Increases the duration of beneficial effects on you or your party members by 30%.
2. Feasting Baron's Pack (2 Set) - This set is important to increase the duration of harmful effects by 30%.
3. Angmet's Conflagration (4 Set) - Causes primary attacks to attach an Ignite status that deals high damage over time.
Note: The high stacking damage over time on the Angmet's Conflagration set is consumed instantly on this build.​

Best Curses
1. Lashed - Using your primary attack gives a chance to generate three crackling whips that damage enemies.
2. Atrophied - Continual damage causes a dark field to appear under enemies that deals damage over time.
3. Wired - Creates a surge of lightning on kill that jumps between enemies with a medium length cooldown.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems
1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.
2. Golden Firmament - Causes a ranged wind attack and increases your evasion rating.
3. Maw of the Deep - Can be used at a high rank to deal damage, gain a damage buff, draw in enemies, and stun enemies.
4. Starfire Shard - Useful for PvP to deal damage and stun enemies inside the Maw of the Deep legendary gem effect.
5. Colossus Engine - Gives skill damage, skill range, and temporary knockback immunity (only use at rank 8+).
6. Void Spark - Deals AoE damage that's extremely effective in dungeons and the new PvP map.
7. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives a damage increase and increases your movement speed. It's one of the best 5 star gems at high ranks for increased damage and one of the weakest 5 star gems for increased damage at lower ranks.​
Best 2 Star Legendary Gems
1. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and causes a blood spike that makes enemies bleed.
2. Power & Command - Alternates between increased skill damage and increased primary damage and sometimes dispels.
3. Fervent Fang - Gives enemies a stacking damage taken increase when they are hit by an attack.
4. Grim Rhythm - Gives a stacking attack speed increase when you hit an enemy.
5. Igneous Scorn - Can be combined with critical hit chance legendary gems to deal damage on critical hits.​
Note: Grim Rhythm and Igneous Scorn should be the first two 2 star legendary gems to be replaced with 5 star gems.

Best 1 Star Legendary Gems
1. Misery Elixir - Important for this build to increase damage over time durations which are consumed instantly.
2. Entropic Well - An excellent 1 star gem for skill damage that can be replaced at higher equipment levels.
3. Berserker's Eye - Increases your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.
Note: Entropic Well and Berserker's Eye should eventually be replaced with higher resonance five star gems.

Best Familiars
1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler that has Savior which provides a cheat death. The 170+ Resilience lowers the cooldown for Savior but can be lower to make the Duskprowler more affordable.
2. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill and gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice in a row. Innervate which gives a chance at resetting the player's skill cooldown, Steel Hide which gives a chance to block, Precision which gives the shield critical hit chance, and Tenacity which lowers the cooldown of the shield are also desirable.
3. Magic Duskprowler - Duskprowler shields are hard to replace so a rare ability or magic Duskprowler is the budget option.

Regular Gems
Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and Citrines for Potency which increases harmful effects duration in yellow sockets. You should also socket your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. Refinement is determined by the quality of the gems and increases the main stats of the equipment the gems are socketed in. You can optionally combine all of your Rubies which give life and Topazes which give resistances into one Ruby and one Topaz and use one of each in your equipment for higher refinement.

Gem Notes
The Pain Clasp legendary gem shouldn't be used because it requires damage over time on the target and your damage over time is instantly triggered with the Torrential Refrain offhand. You also won't need the Viper's Bite, Everlasting Torment, and/or Seeping Bile legendary gems to trigger Pain Clasp. The Golden Firmament legendary gem is recommended for wind damage, increased evasion rating, and it triggers Firestorms to increase your wind damage. Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament give increased critical hit chance and can be combined with Igneous Scorn for damage on critical hits. You should also consider rolling critical hit damage on every piece of gear with Reforge Stones when using these crit gems. The Grim Rhythm legendary gem can also be replaced with a Frozen Heart for PvP for an absorb shield and to chill opponents.​
