Diablo Immortal: The Best Minion Demon Hunter
PvP Minion Demon Hunter Guide
Minion Demon Hunters should use the Explosive Arrow primary attack along with Strafe, Sentry, Vengeance, and Spinning Chakram for CC. With the recommended build Strafe summons minions, Sentry summons untargetable shadow minions, and Vengeance summons a shadow minion to damage enemies. Spinning Chakram is preferred over invisibility skills for this build because it can carry multiple opponents a short distance and then stun and slow them. This allows you to escape in fights while your minions are still dealing damage to your opponents. You should try and cast minions at opponents from a safe distance and you can also cast minions near objectives in Battlegrounds and Tower Wars to help your team. The PvP Minion Demon Hunter is a strong build for PvP and does especially well in PvP when the build is played defensively.

Turmoil - Strafe and its minions now fire homing rockets at nearby enemies.

Boar at the Door - Sentry now summons an untargetable shadow turret that attacks nearby enemies.

Shoulders
Shadowstalker's Spauders - Increases the maximum number of charges for Spinning Chakram by one.

Chest
Yearling Kiln - Vengeance now summons your inner demon to attack nearby enemies.

Recommended Sets
1. Shepherd's Call to Wolves (6 Set) - Increases your damage and critical hit chance for each minion you have out.
2. Untouchable Mountebank (2 Set) - Great for PvP for a large absorb shield which improves your defenses.

Best Curses
1. Vexed - Damages nearby enemies when a minion is summoned and buffs your minion's attack speed at higher ranks.
2. Ghosted (PvP) - Summons a minion to take damage for you and increases your attack and movement speed.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems
1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.
2. Seeping Bile - Gives a 4% chance to poison and slows enemies movement speed (also triggers the Pain Clasp gem).
3. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.
4. Echoing Shade - Powerful for Demon Hunters because its 1-3 minions fire your strong ranged primary attacks.
5. Starfire Shard - Deals AoE damage and stuns enemies in PvP inside the Maw of the Deep legendary gem effect.
6. Maw of the Deep - Used at high ranks to deal damage, gain a damage buff, draw in enemies, and stun enemies.
7. Stormvault - Useful at rank 5+ to create a storm that damages enemies over time and slows their movement speed.
8. Blood Floe - Increases your damage, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and causes enemies to bleed.
Note: Roiling Consequence and Seeping Bile should be leveled up first because they're strong gems for PvP for this build.
Best 2 Star Legendary Gems
1. Bloody Reach - Increases your damage based on the distance to your summon and then the distance to the enemy.
2. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies that have a continuous damage effect on them.
3. Viper's Bite - Poisons enemies on hit dealing damage over time (also triggers the Pain Clasp gem).
4. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and releases a blood spike that causes enemies to bleed.
5. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases your critical hit chance.
6. Fervent Fang - Gives enemies a stacking damage taken increase each time they are hit with an attack.
7. Crimson Behelit (PvP) - Strong PvP legacy gem with increased damage and reduced damage taken that's drop disabled.
Note: The Fervent Fang legendary gem should be replaced first if you are upgrading to a higher resonance 5 star gem.

Best Starter 1 Star Legendary Gems
1. Freedom and Devotion - Highly recommended to increase the duration of your minions and it increases their damage.
2. Berserker's Eye - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.
3. Everlasting Torment - Deals damage over time on critical hits and increases your attack speed.
Note: Entropic Well isn't recommended on this build because increased skill damage doesn't affect your minions.

Best Familiars
1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler with the Savior passive skill which provides a cheat death and temporary damage immunity. The 170+ Resilience on the familiar lowers the cooldown of Savior.
2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Can have Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.
3. Any Savior Familiar - Look for any 170+ Resilience familiar with Savior for a cheat death and great passive skills.
4. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill because it gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice. Innervate which gives a chance at resetting one of the player's skill cooldowns, Steel Hide which gives a chance to block, Precision which gives critical hit chance, and Tenacity which lowers the cooldown of the shield are also desirable.
5. Magic Duskprowler - Duskprowler shields are hard to replace so a rare or magic ability Duskprowler is the budget option.
Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems
Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and prioritize Topazes for resistances which lowers harmful effects durations on you in yellow sockets. You can also combine all of your bound Citrines which give potency and Rubies which give life and socket them into your gear if they have higher refinement. You should use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. Gems give refinement based on their quality and refinement increases the attributes on the equipment the gems are socketed in.

Gem Notes
Legendary gems that provide increased skill damage like Colossus Engine, Power & Command, and Entropic Well don't increase the damage of summons so they shouldn't be used for this build. The Blood Floe legendary gem is a great option when it's combined with multiple sources of critical hit chance/critical hit damage. The Viper's Bite and Seeping Bile legendary gems both trigger the large damage increase on the Pain Clasp legendary gem from there being continuous damage on the enemy. When using increased critical hit chance legendary gems you should also try and roll increased critical hit damage on every piece of equipment using Reforge Stones for increased damage. The Seeping Bile and Stormvault legendary gems can both optionally be used for PvP to deal damage and to slow opponents near your minions.
