Coat of the Astrum - Lightning Nova now arcs between enemies leaving behind a spark that damages Shocked enemies.

Raptor's Tail - When Disintegrate hits a Shocked enemy it releases chain lightning on enemies.

Recommended Sets

1. Vithu's Urges (2 Set) - Increases the duration of beneficial effects on you and your party members by 30%.

2. Grace of the Flagellant (6 Set) - Increases continuous damage and channeled damage, deals bonus damage every 5 times you deal damage to an enemy, and gives a 4% chance to deal high damage with a 40 second cooldown.

Best Curses

1. Lashed - Use at least four items with this curse to make primary attacks cause three damaging whips on cooldown.

2. Wired - Optional to create a surge of lightning on kill that jumps between enemies with a medium length cooldown.

​3. Ghosted (PvP) - Optional for PvP to summon a minion to take some of your incoming damage.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.

2. Golden Firmament - Deals wind damage and increases your evasion rating.

3. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.​

4. Colossus Engine - Gives increased skill damage, increased area of effect, knockback immunity, and increased size (which increases your movement speed) for a medium duration with a 20 second cooldown.

5. ​Starfire Shard - Deals AoE damage and stuns enemies in PvP inside the Maw of the Deep legendary gem effect.

6. Blood Floe - Lower priority 5 star gem that increases damage, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and causes bleed.

8. Wulfheort (PvM) - After damaging enemies 5 times you slash them and increase attack speed for you and your allies.

7. Maw of the Deep (PvP) - Used at a high rank to deal damage, gain a damage buff, draw in enemies, and stun enemies.

9. Void Spark (PvM) - Deals AoE damage that's very effective for challenge dungeons, terror rifts, and speed farming.

10. ​Seeping Bile (PvP) - Gives a 4% chance to poison enemies and slows their movement speed which is important in PvP.

11. Stormvault (Optional PvP) - At rank 5+ it slow enemies movement speed inside a storm and deals damage over time.​​

 

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies that have a continuous damage effect on them.

2. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and releases a blood spike that causes enemies to bleed.

3. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases your critical hit chance.

4. Fervent Fang - Gives a stacking damage increase and increases your damage against elites and bosses.

5. Power & Command - Alternates between increased skill damage and increased primary damage and sometimes dispels.

6. Mourneskull - Strong legacy gem that increases your damage and deals damage but it's drop disabled.

7. Crimson Behelit (PvP) - Strong PvP legacy gem with increased damage and reduced damage taken that's drop disabled.

Note: Viper's Bite isn't needed to trigger the damage increase on Pain Clasp from there being damage over time on the target because the Disintegrate skill with the Filtered Defense shoulder essence already deals damage over time.

Best Starter 1 Star Legendary Gems

1. Berserker's Eye (PvM) - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.

2. Entropic Well - A great budget one star legendary gem that increases your skill damage and attack speed.

​3. Everlasting Torment - A budget legendary gem that deals damage over time on critical hits and increases attack speed.

Note: Berserker's Eye is a great one star legendary gem that requires a high ranked up 5 star gem to match its damage.

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler with the Savior passive skill which provides a cheat death and temporary damage immunity. The 170+ Resilience is important for lowering the cooldown of Savior.

2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Look for Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.

3. Any Savior Familiar - Look for any 170+ Resilience familiar with Savior for a cheat death and great passive skills.

4. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill because it gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice. Innervate which gives a chance at resetting one of the player's skill cooldowns, Steel Hide which gives a chance to block, Precision which gives critical hit chance, and Tenacity which lowers the cooldown of the shield are also desirable.

5. Magic Duskprowler - Duskprowler shields are hard to replace so a rare or magic ability Duskprowler is the budget option.

Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems

Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and Citrines for potency which increases harmful effects durations in yellow sockets. You should also use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. You can optionally combine all of your bound Rubies which give life and Topazes which give resistances and socket them into your equipment if they give higher refinement. Gems give refinement based on their quality and refinement is used to increase the attributes on the pieces of equipment the gems are socketed in.​

Gem Notes

The Blood Floe gem is a great option when it's combined with multiple sources of critical hit chance and critical hit damage. The fairly new Colossus Engine legendary gem is great for builds that need increased area of effect, has knockback immunity, and gives increased movement speed from its size increase. The Seeping Bile and Stormvault legendary gems can optionally be used in PvP to slow opponents and deal damage over time. Golden Firmament is a very strong 5 star legendary gem that gives wind damage, increased evasion rating, and triggers Firestorms when it's mixed with burning damage which increases your wind damage. When using multiple increased critical hit chance legendary gems you should also consider rolling critical hit damage on every piece of your equipment with Reforge Stones for increased damage.​
