1. Vithu's Urges (2 Set) - Increases the duration of your beneficial effects on you and your party members by 30%.

2. Gloomguide's Prize (4 Set) - Increases your damage and critical hit chance for three seconds after using a dash skill.

3. Untouchable Mountebank (2 Set) - Gives a 20% chance to gain an absorb shield when you take damage.​​​​​

Note: It's important to have reduced skill cooldown on your amulet and rings on a Tempest for more skill uptime.

Recommended Skill Enchants

1. Wind Walk skill enchants should be stacked because they provide a large heal over time when you use Wind Walk.

2. Rolling Surf skill enchants are the next best skill enchant because they make your primary attacks launch water blades.

3. Crosswind skill enchants are the least important because they conjure a close range wind blade that follows you.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduced damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.

2. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.

3. Golden Firmament - Attacks with multiple ranged wind blades and increases your evasion rating.

4. Colossus Engine - Gives increased skill damage, increased area of effect, temporary knockback immunity, and increased movement speed (from its size increase) for a six second duration on a twenty second cooldown.

5. Blood Floe - A great five star gem that increases damage, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and causes bleed.

6. Fated Trail - Deals damage over time as a percentage of your life, shatters enemies' armor, and immobilizes enemies.

7. Seeping Bile - Deals high damage over time which is great for killing opponents after they've used a cheat death.

8. Frozen Heart - Great for PvP for an absorb shield and it gives a chance to chill enemies.

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Crimson Behelit - Strong PvP legacy gem with increased damage and reduced damage taken that's drop disabled.

2. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies that have a continuous damage effect on them.

3. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and causes a damaging blood spike that makes enemies bleed.

4. Specter Glass - Increases enemies' damage taken after critical hits and increases your critical hit chance.

5. Fervent Fang - Gives enemies a stacking damage taken increase and increases your damage against bosses and elites.

6. Mourneskull - This legacy gem can be used to increase your damage and deal damage but it's drop disabled.

7. Viper's Bite - A nice gem for early on that deals high damage over time which can kill opponents after a cheat death.

Note: Pain Clasp, Crimson Behelit, Mother's Lament, and Specter Glass are great 2 star gems and should be replaced last.

Best 1 Star Starter Legendary Gems

1. Berserker's Eye - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.

2. Blessed Pebble - A budget gem that increases your beneficial effects durations and increases your movement speed.

3. Entropic Well - A great one star legendary gem that increases your skill damage and increases your attack speed.

4. Everlasting Torment - A budget gem that deals damage over time on critical hits and increases your attack speed.

5. Havoc Bearer - Increases your damage and attack speed after using a dash skill for 2 seconds on a 6 second cooldown.

6. Faltergrasp - Disables opponents dash skills on critical strikes and greatly reduces opponents' movement speed.

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler with the Savior passive skill which provides a cheat death and temporary damage immunity. The 170+ Resilience on the Duskprowler lowers the cooldown of Savior.

2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Look for Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.

3. Ash Sweeper - Ash Sweepers are strong in PvP because they damage nearby enemies and mark an enemy reducing their damage by 20% for 3 seconds. They're also capable of having 170+ Resilience to reduce the cooldown of Savior.

4. Any Savior Familiar - You can use any familiar with Savior for a cheat death and great passive skills as an alternative.

5. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill because it gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice. Innervate gives a chance at resetting one of the player's skill cooldowns, Steel Hide gives a chance to block, Precision gives critical hit chance, and Tenacity lowers the cooldown of the Duskprowler shield which are also desirable.

Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems

You can use both Tourmalines for added damage and Rubies for maximum life in red sockets and you should use Topazes for resistances which lowers harmful effects durations on you in yellow sockets. You can also use your bound Citrines which gives potency and combine them into one Citrine if it gives higher refinement. You should also use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. Gems give refinement based on their quality and refinement increases the attributes on the equipment the gems are socketed in.

Gem Notes

The new Fated Trail five star gem is a powerful legendary gem once you have high increased maximum life from ranked up five star legendary gems, Vitality, magic effects on equipment, and Rubies which give maximum life. The Blood Floe five star gem is a great option when it's combined with multiple sources of increased critical hit chance and critical hit damage. The Colossus Engine five star gem is strong because it increases your skill damage, increases your area of effect, gives temporary knockback immunity, and gives increased movement speed from its size increase. The Golden Firmament five star gem is recommended as a low priority legendary gem that deals wind damage, increases evasion rating, and it triggers Firestorms when it's mixed with burning damage which increases your wind damage. The Frozen Heart gem is also recommended for PvP for a shield and to chill opponents. You should try and get enough increased beneficial effects duration on your equipment to significantly lower your Rolling Surf cooldown. When using increased critical hit chance gems you should also consider rolling increased critical hit damage on every piece of gear with Reforge Stones.​
