Defiling Swarm - Grim Scythe now summons whirling scythes that orbit you damaging enemies and creating corpses.

Departed Appetite - Corpse Lance now consumes corpses to create a vortex of bone around you.

Flesh Pick - Corpse Explosion now also generates corpses in combat that follow you around.

Off-Hand 2

Baleful Trinity - Soulfire now bounces to one additional target but deals less damage to secondary targets.

Helmet

Studied Menace - Deals damage over time and reduces healing by enemies when they're hit by Corpse Lance. This damage over time will be instantly consumed with the recommended Ravening Silence legs essence.

Shoulders

Caress of the Forbidden - Corpse Explosion now creates tendrils that pull enemies into its explosion.

Chest

Gallowsborn - Wraith Form now also generates corpses which can be used to create Corpse Lance vortexes.

Legs

Ravening Silence (for damage) - Grim Scythe now also instantly consumes damage over time on the target.

Bleak Augury (for Speed Farming) - Wraith Form now increases movement speed and evasion for an extended duration.

Recommended Sets

1. Angmet's Conflagration (4 Set) - Deals damage over time which becomes instant with the Ravening Silence essence.

2. Feasting Baron's Pack (2 Set) - Increases your harmful effect durations which instantly trigger with Ravening Silence.

3. Vithu's Urges (2 Set) - Increases your beneficial effects durations by 30% which also includes Wraith Form.

Note: The high stacking damage over time from the Angmet's Conflagration set is consumed instantly on this build. The Feasting Baron's Pack set increases the duration of the damage over time before it's consumed instantly.

Best Curses

1. Lashed (PvM) - Using your primary attack gives a chance to generate three crackling whips that damage enemies.

2. Atrophied - Continual damage causes a dark field to appear under enemies that deals damage over time.​

3. Ghosted (PvP) - Creates a minion for a duration that absorbs a portion of your incoming damage.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.

2. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.​

3. Golden Firmament - Deals wind damage and increases your evasion rating.

4. Maw of the Deep - Used at a high rank to deal damage, gain a damage buff, draw in enemies, and stun enemies.

5. ​Starfire Shard - Used for PvP to deal damage and stuns enemies inside the Maw of the Deep legendary gem effect.​

6. Colossus Engine - Gives increased skill damage, increased area of effect for your auras, increased size (which also increases your movement speed), and knockback immunity for a medium duration with a 20 second cooldown.

 

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and releases a blood spike that causes enemies to bleed.

2. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases critical hit chance.

3. Mourneskull - Great legacy gem that increases your damage and deals damage but it's drop disabled.

4. Viper's Bite - Lowest priority two star gem here because it isn't needed to trigger Pain Clasp (DoTs will be instant).

5. Igneous Scorn (PvM) - Can be combined with critical hit chance legendary gems to deal damage on critical hits.

6. Crimson Behelit (PvP) - Strong PvP gem that gives increased damage and reduced damage taken but it's drop disabled.

Best Starter 1 Star Legendary Gems

1. Misery Elixir - Increases the duration of continual damage which triggers instantly with the recommended essences.

2. Berserker's Eye (PvM) - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.

3. Everlasting Torment - Deals damage over time on critical hits and increases your attack speed.

​4. Entropic Well - A great budget one star legendary gem that increases your skill damage and attack speed.

Note: Misery Elixir and Berserker's Eye are powerful one star legendary gems for this build. The other two one star gems in this section should be replaced first with leveled two or five star legendary gems once you can afford them.

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler that has Savior which provides a cheat death. The 170+ Resilience lowers the cooldown for Savior but can be lower to make the Duskprowler more affordable.

2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Can have Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.

3. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill because it gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice. Innervate which gives a chance at resetting the player's skill cooldown, Steel Hide which gives a chance to block, Precision which gives the shield critical hit chance, and Tenacity which lowers the cooldown of the shield are also desirable.

4. Magic Duskprowler - Duskprowler shields are hard to replace so a rare or magic ability Duskprowler is the budget option.

Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems

Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and Citrines for Potency which increases harmful effects durations in yellow sockets. You should use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. Refinement from a gem increases the attributes of the piece of equipment the gem is socketed in. You can also optionally combine all of your Rubies which give life and Topazes which give resistances into a couple Rubies and Topazes and socket them in your equipment for higher refinement.​

Gem Notes

The new Colossus Engine legendary gem is great for builds that need burst damage, area of effect, knockback immunity, and movement speed from its increased size which is a nice quality of life improvement. The new Specter Glass legendary two star gem makes enemies take increased damage from your attacks and is one of the best two star gems for this build. The Viper's Bite and Everlasting Torment legendary gems deal continual damage which then triggers instantly with the recommended Ravening Silence essence. Golden Firmament is a strong fairly new 5 star gem that has wind damage, increased evasion, and triggers Firestorms when mixed with burning damage for increased wind damage. Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament give increased critical hit chance and work well with Specter Glass, Everlasting Torment, and Igneous Scorn which improve your damage on critical hits. Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament also work well with Colossus Engine in PvP on this build because they share cooldowns. You should also consider rolling critical hit damage on every piece of equipment using Reforge Stones when using increased critical hit chance legendary gems.​
