Main Hand

Death Disseminates (Raid) - Grim Scythe now marks the target causing them to take additional damage when they're hit.

Defiling Swarm (AoE & PvP) - Grim Scythe now creates whirling scythes that orbit you and deal damage to enemies.

Departed Appetite - Corpse Lance now consumes corpses to create a vortex of bone around you.

Main Hand 2

Flesh Pick (PvM) - Corpse Explosion now also passively generates corpses that follow you.

Stroke of Midnight (PvP) - Wraith Form now also has a reduced cooldown each time you take damage.

Off-Hand 2

Wraithvexed (PvM) - Bone Spirits now teleports you and damages nearby enemies for a duration.

Spite-Fetor (PvP) - The Soulfire primary attack now also explodes on enemies burning them over time.

Helmet

Studied Menace (offensive) - Deals damage over time and reduces healing of enemies when they're hit by Corpse Lance. This damage over time is instantly triggered when you're using the Ravening Silence legs essence.

The Unattended (defensive) - Bone Armor now damages nearby enemies and reduces your damage taken.

Shoulders

Sated Devourer - Corpse Explosion now generates corpses and increases damage when you consume a corpse.

​

Chest

Skin To Bones (PvM) - Bone Spirits now increases in damage each time it hits the same target.

Ethereal Bounty (PvP) - Wraith Form now also removes all loss of control effects and decreases in movement speed.

Legs

Ravening Silence - Grim Scythe now also instantly consumes damage over time on the target. This causes damage over time effects to trigger their full duration instantly instead of just repeatedly refreshing them you hit enemies.​

Note: Potency from Willpower increases the duration of damage over time effects which are instantly triggered on this build.

Recommended Sets

1. Angmet's Conflagration (4 Set) - Deals damage over time which is instantly triggered with the Ravening Silence essence.

2. Vithu's Urges (2 Set) - Increases your beneficial effects durations by 30% which includes your Wraith Form.

3. Feasting Baron's Pack (PvM 2 Set) - Increases your harmful effects durations by 30% which are then instantly triggered.

4. Untouchable Mountebank (PvP 2 Set) - Gives a 20% chance to gain an absorb shield when you take damage.

Note: Look for yellow sockets on both of your rings and socket them with Citrines which give potency.

Recommended Skill Enchants

1. Wraith Form skill enchants reduce the cooldown of Wraith Form based off of how far you travel.

2. Corpse Lance skill enchants make Corpse Lance increase your movement speed for a short duration.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.

2. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.​

3. Fated Trail - Deals damage over time as a percentage of your life, shatters enemies' armor, and immobilizes enemies.

4. Colossus Engine - Gives increased skill damage, increased area of effect, knockback immunity, and increased size (which increases your movement speed) for a medium duration with a 20 second cooldown.​

5. Blood Floe - Lower priority 5 star gem that increases damage, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and causes bleed.

6. Haunt Coil - Greatly increases your damage or reduces your damage taken for a medium duration on cooldown.

7. Wulfheort - After damaging enemies 5 times you slash them and increase attack speed for you and your allies.

8. Void Spark (PvM) - Deals massive AoE damage that's effective for challenge dungeons, terror rifts, and speed farming.

9. ​Frozen Heart (PvP) - Optional legendary gem for PvP that gives an absorb shield and chills opponents.​

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies that have a continuous damage effect on them.

2. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and releases a blood spike that causes enemies to bleed.

3. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases critical hit chance.

4. Viper's Bite - A nice gem for early on that deals high damage over time if you have low legendary gems and resonance.

5. Fervent Fang - A strong gem that gives enemies a stacking damage taken increase when they're hit by your attacks.

6. Mourneskull - Great legacy gem that increases your damage and deals damage but it's drop disabled.

7. Igneous Scorn (PvM) - Can be used with Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament to deal damage on critical hits. Igneous Scorn is the lowest priority two star gem and should be the first to be replaced with a ranked up five star gem.

8. Crimson Behelit - Strong legacy PvP gem for increased damage and reduced damage taken that's drop disabled.

Note: Viper's Bite isn't needed to trigger Pain Clasp because this build already has multiple sources of continuous damage. Pain Clasp, Crimson Behelit, and Mother's Lament are the top three 2 star gems and should be replaced last.

Best 1 Star Legendary Gems

1. Misery Elixir - Increases the duration of continual damage which is great for the single target setup.

2. Berserker's Eye (PvM) - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.

​3. Entropic Well - A great one star legendary gem that increases your skill damage and increases your attack speed.

4. Everlasting Torment - Deals damage over time after critical hits and increases your attack speed.

5. Surging Sea - A lower priority one star gem that has a stacking skill damage increase that stacks up to 10 times.

6. Faltergrasp (PvP) - Disables opponents' dash skills on critical strikes and greatly reduces their movement speed.

Note: Berserker's Eye and Misery Elixir are the most powerful one star gems for this build and should be replaced last.

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler with the Savior passive skill which provides a cheat death and temporary damage immunity. The 170+ Resilience on the familiar lowers the cooldown of Savior.

2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Can have Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.

3. Ash Sweeper - Ash Sweepers are strong, especially in PvP, because they damage nearby enemies and mark an enemy reducing their damage by 20% for 3 seconds. They can also have 170+ Resilience which reduces the cooldown of Savior.

4. Any Savior Familiar - You can use any familiar with Savior for a cheat death and great passive skills as an alternative.

5. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill because it gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice. Innervate gives a chance at resetting one of the player's skill cooldowns, Steel Hide gives a chance to block, Precision gives critical hit chance, and Tenacity lowers the cooldown of the Duskprowler shield which are also desirable.

Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems

Prioritize Tourmalines for added DoT damage in red sockets and Citrines for potency to increase harmful effects durations in yellow sockets which are both important for this build. You can combine all of your bound Rubies which give life and use one in a red socket if it gives higher refinement. Refinement is determined by the quality of the gem and it increases the attributes of the gear the gem is socketed in. You can use one or two of your highest refinement Topazes for resistances early on but you will eventually want to make the switch to just Citrines for higher potency. The full duration of your damage over time will be instantly consumed on this build so potency is a major damage increase. You should also socket your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets.

Gem Notes

The new Fated Trail five star gem is a powerful legendary gem once you have high increased maximum life. The fairly new Haunt Coil five star gem can optionally be used for PvP to increase your damage or reduce your damage taken by up to 45% for a duration. The Blood Floe five star gem is a great option when it's combined with multiple sources of increased critical hit chance and critical hit damage. The Colossus Engine gem is great for builds that need increased area of effect, burst damage, knockback immunity, and movement speed from its size increase. When using increased critical hit chance legendary gems you should also consider rolling increased critical hit damage on your equipment using Reforge Stones for increased damage. The Frozen Heart five star legendary gem is also recommended for PvP because it gives a large absorb shield and it chills opponents which slows your opponents' attack speed and movement speed.​
