Defiling Swarm - Grim Scythe now summons whirling scythes that orbit you damaging enemies and creating corpses.

Departed Appetite - Corpse Lance now consumes corpses to create a vortex of bone around you.

Flesh Pick - Corpse Explosion now also generates corpses in combat that follow you around.

Baleful Trinity - Soulfire now bounces to one additional target but deals less damage to secondary targets.

Gravehawk - Corpse Lance deals increased damage each time it hits an enemy within 2 seconds.

Caress of the Forbidden - Corpse Explosion now creates tendrils that pull enemies in.

Gallowsborn - Wraith Form now also generates corpses which can be used for Corpse Lance.

Bleak Augury (PvM) - Wraith Form now increases your movement speed and evasion rating for an increased duration.

Proximal Fear (PvP) - Wraith Form now deals damage and causes enemies to flee.

Recommended Sets

1. Issatar Imbued (4 Set) - Increases your movement speed on kill and increases damage based on your movement speed.

2. Vithu's Urges (2 Set) - Increases the duration of beneficial effects on you or your party members by 30%.

3. Untouchable Mountebank (2-4 Set) - Great for PvP for a large absorb shield which improves your survival.

Best Curses

1. Lashed (PvM) - Using your primary attack gives a chance to generate three crackling whips that damage enemies.

2. Atrophied - Continual damage causes a dark field to appear under enemies that deals damage over time.​

3. Wired (PvM) - Creates a surge of lightning on kill that jumps between enemies with a medium length cooldown.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.

2. Golden Firmament - Deals wind damage and increases your evasion rating.

3. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives a huge damage increase at high levels and a significant boost to movement speed.

4. Maw of the Deep - Used at a high rank to deal damage, gain a damage buff, draw in enemies, and stun enemies.

5. ​Starfire Shard - Useful for PvP to deal damage and stun enemies inside the Maw of the Deep legendary gem effect.​

6. Colossus Engine (PvP only) - Gives increased skill damage, skill range, and temporary knockback immunity.

 

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies with a continual damage effect on them.

2. Viper's Bite - Poisons enemies and triggers the damage increase on the Pain Clasp legendary gem.

3. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and releases a blood spike that causes enemies to bleed.

4. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases critical hit chance.

5. Igneous Scorn (PvM only) - Can be combined with critical hit chance gems to deal damage on critical hits. Igneous Scorn is the weakest gem here and should be the first to be replaced with a 5 star legendary gem.

6. Crimson Behelit (PvP) - Great PvP two star legendary gem for increased damage and reduced damage taken.

Best Starter 1 Star Legendary Gems

1. Everlasting Torment - Deals damage over time on crits which triggers the damage increase on Pain Clasp.

2. Berserker's Eye - Increases your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.

​3. Entropic Well - An excellent 1 star legendary gem that increases your skill damage and attack speed.

​

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler that has Savior which provides a cheat death. The 170+ Resilience lowers the cooldown for Savior but can be lower to make the Duskprowler more affordable.

2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Can have Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.

3. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill because it gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice. Innervate which gives a chance at resetting the player's skill cooldown, Steel Hide which gives a chance to block, Precision which gives the shield critical hit chance, and Tenacity which lowers the cooldown of the shield are also desirable.

4. Magic Duskprowler - Duskprowler shields are hard to replace so a rare or magic ability Duskprowler is the budget option.

Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems

Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and Citrines for Potency which increases harmful effects durations in yellow sockets. You should use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. Refinement from a gem increases the attributes of the piece of equipment the gem is socketed in. You can optionally combine all of your Rubies which give life and Topazes which give resistances into one Ruby and one Topaz and socket one of each in your equipment for a higher level of refinement.​

Gem Notes

The new Specter Glass legendary two star gem makes enemies take increased damage from your attacks and is one of the best two star gems for this build. The Viper's Bite and Everlasting Torment legendary gems deal continual damage which then triggers the damage increase on the Pain Clasp legendary gem. Golden Firmament is a strong fairly new 5 star gem that has wind damage, increased evasion, and triggers Firestorms when mixed with burning damage. Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament both give increased critical hit chance and work well with Specter Glass, Everlasting Torment, and Igneous Scorn which improve your damage on critical hits. Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament also work well with Colossus Engine in PvP on this build because they share cooldowns. You should also consider rolling critical hit damage on every piece of equipment using Reforge Stones when using increased critical hit legendary gems.​
