Diablo Immortal: The Highest Damage Demon Hunter
Strafe Multishot Demon Hunter Guide
Strafe Multishot Demon Hunters use the Explosive Arrow primary attack along with Strafe, Multishot, Vengeance, and Spinning Chakram for the highest damage. Spinning Chakram deals more damage than Impale because there's an essence that makes Spinning Chakram greatly increase your primary attack speed. With the recommended build, Strafe will fire your primary attacks, Multishot will fire with your primary attacks, Spinning Chakram will fire with your primary attacks and increase your primary attack speed, and Vengeance will cause your primary attack to fire two additional shots. The Strafe Multishot Demon Hunter is overall one of the highest damage builds in the game at a low to mid resonance.

4. Harbinger can be used in Erebban for an absorb shield, movement speed, and to move unhindered through enemies.
5. Survivor is the recommended paragon for Vanguard because it provides a cheat death that works in Vanguard.
6. The recommended legendary skill is Lightning Rod which deals damage after 10 attacks within 3 seconds.
7. Below you can find an image for the best paragon for damage and the second image is the best paragon for PvP.

Strafe Multishot Demon Hunter Skills and Equipment:

Skills
1. Explosive Arrow (primary skill)
2. Strafe
3. Multishot
4. Vengeance
5. Spinning Chakram

Main Hand
Fangspitter - Multishot now empowers your primary attacks to also fire Multishots.

Off-Hand
Painsower - Strafe now fires your primary attacks at the closest enemy.

Main Hand 2
Unrelenting Furor - Strafe now also has a greatly increased duration (which is great for improved mobility).

Off-Hand 2
Lion Jaw - Spinning Chakram now empowers your primary attacks to launch chakrams at enemies.
Note: The Spinning Chakram skill and this essence are only worth using when you have the Quarry Chaser legs essence which makes Spinning Chakram greatly increases your primary attack speed for its duration.

Helmet
Raptor's Beak - Increases your damage after every Multishot.

Shoulders
Hailfire - Multishot also fires two homing rockets at enemies.

Chest
Flayer's Banquet - Vengeance now causes Primary Attacks to inflict Bleed and increases the damage taken by enemies.

Legs
Quarry Chaser - Spinning Chakram now greatly increases your primary attack speed for a duration.
Note: The Quarry Chaser essence is what makes Spinning Chakram worth it. It increases the attack speed of multiple important effects like primary attacks with Strafe, Multishot, Spinning Chakram, and the Gloom Cask legendary gem.
Ruinous Path - This should be used in normalized PvP to make Vengeance increase your damage and evasion rating.
Note: You can optionally replace the Spinning Chakram skill for Sentry which is also a strong skill for Normalized PvP. You don't need Spinning Chakram in normalized PVP because you won't have a second offhand essence to improve it.

Recommended Sets
1. Vithu's Urges (4 Set) - Increases your beneficial effects duration and attack speed (3 skills are beneficial effects).
2. Grace of the Flagellant (4 Set) - Increases channeled damage, ground effects damage, and continuous damage by 15% and deals damage to enemies after every 5 hits to the target.

Best Curses
1. Lashed - Using your primary attack gives a chance to generate three crackling whips that damage enemies.
2. Vexed (PvM) - Optional to deal high damage when minions from the Echoing Shade five star gem enter the battlefield.
3. Wired - Creates a surge of lightning on kill that jumps between enemies with a medium length cooldown.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems
1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.
2. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.
3. Gloom Cask - Damages targets when you use your primary attacks on cooldown and increases their damage.
4. Colossus Engine - Gives increased skill damage, increased area of effect, increased size (which also increases your movement speed), and knockback immunity for a medium duration with a 20 second cooldown.
5. Starfire Shard - Deals AoE damage and stuns enemies in PvP inside the Maw of the Deep legendary gem effect.
6. Blood Floe - Lower priority 5 star gem that increases damage, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and causes bleed.
7. Maw of the Deep - Used at high ranks to deal damage, gain a damage buff, draw in enemies, and stun enemies.
8. Echoing Shade (PvM) - Powerful for Demon Hunters because its 1-3 minions fire your strong ranged primary attacks.
9. Seeping Bile (PvP) - Does well with fast attack speeds in PvP to deal damage over time and slows opponents.
Note: The Stormvault gem was knocked off the gem list for PvP with the addition of new legendary gems to the game. It's still a very strong substitute for Seeping Bile for PvP for its slow effect if you have Stormvault at rank 5 or higher.

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems
1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies when they have a continual damage effect on them.
2. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and releases a blood spike that causes enemies to bleed.
3. Fervent Fang - Gives enemies a stacking damage taken increase each time they are hit with an attack.
4. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases your critical hit chance.
5. Power & Command - Increases skill damage and primary damage alternating back and forth and sometimes dispels.
6. Mourneskull - This legacy gem can be used to increase your damage and deal damage but it no longer drops.
7. Crimson Behelit (PvP) - Strong PvP gem that gives increased damage and reduced damage taken but it's drop disabled.
Note: The Viper's Bite legendary gem isn't needed to trigger the damage increase on Pain Clasp from having continual damage on the enemy because Vengeance already causes bleed with the recommended chest essence.

Best Starter 1 Star Legendary Gems
1. Berserker's Eye - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.
2. Entropic Well - An excellent 1 star gem for skill damage that can be replaced at higher levels with a strong 5 star gem.
3. Trickshot Gem - Budget option to lower channeling costs which allows you to channel Strafe for a longer duration.
4. Everlasting Torment - Deals damage over time on critical hits and increases your attack speed.
Note: Everlasting Torment and Trickshot Gem should be replaced early on because they're the lowest dps options.

Best Familiars
1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler that has Savior which provides a cheat death. The 170+ Resilience lowers the cooldown for Savior but can be lower to make the Duskprowler more affordable.
2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Can have Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.
3. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill because it gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice. Innervate which gives a chance at resetting the player's skill cooldown, Steel Hide which gives a chance to block, Precision which gives the shield critical hit chance, and Tenacity which lowers the cooldown of the shield are also desirable.
4. Magic Duskprowler - Duskprowler shields are hard to replace so a rare or magic ability Duskprowler is the budget option.
Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems
Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and Citrines for Potency which increases harmful effects durations in yellow sockets. You should use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. You can optionally combine all of your Rubies which give life and Topazes which give resistances into a couple Rubies and Topazes and socket them into your equipment for a higher level of refinement. Gems give refinement based on their quality and refinement increases the attributes on the equipment the gems are socketed in.

Gem Notes
The Blood Floe gem is a great option when it's combined with Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament which give critical hit chance. You should also have critical hit chance on your equipment and should roll critical hit damage on your equipment. The Pain Clasp legendary gem is one of the best two star gems because it gives high increased damage when the enemy has a damage over time effect on them. Gloom Cask is an excellent legendary gem for this build because it damages enemies when you use your primary attacks on cooldown while increasing your primary attacks damage and you'll almost always be using your primary attacks with this build even when moving. When using the Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament critical hit chance legendary gems you should consider using Reforge Stones to roll increased critical hit damage on your equipment for higher damage. The Frozen Heart legendary gem gives an absorb shield but it's not recommended for a Strafe Demon Hunter because your damage is more important than your defenses on this build.
