Main Hand

Lion's Mane - Demoralize now triggers all damage over time on the target instantly. This causes damage over time effects to trigger their full duration instead of just refreshing their duration when you hit enemies.​

Off-Hand

Sundered Legacy - Wrath of the Berserker now causes nearby enemies to burn and increases your movement speed.

Main Hand 2

Iron Tusk - Demoralize now also gives increased critical hit chance when it hits an enemy.

Off-Hand 2

Promised Sunrise - Demoralize now also increases your attack and movement speed.

Helmet

Whirling Howl - Demoralize now empowers your steps with AoE wind damage.

Shoulders

Hydra's Maw - Sunder now empowers your steps with AoE fire damage.

Shackled Fate (PvM) - Chain Spear now summons a Spirit of the Ancients that repeatedly casts Chain Spear.

Vagrant Mercenary (PvP) - Sunder now also slows enemies movement speed and prevents their use of dash skills.​

Buried Talons (PvM) - Chain Spear now also increases your damage for a short duration when it hits enemies.

Trail of Mourning (PvP) - Sunder now also pulls nearby enemies to you.

Note: Potency from Willpower increases the duration of damage over time effects which are instantly triggered on this build.

Recommended Sets

1. Angmet's Conflagration (4 Set) - Deals high damage over time which is instantly triggered by the Lion's Mane essence.

2. Vithu's Urges (2 Set) - Increases your beneficial effects durations by 30% (all of your skills are beneficial effects).

3. Feasting Baron's Pack (2 Set) - Increases the duration of your harmful effects by 30% which are triggered instantly.

Note: Look for yellow sockets on both of your set rings so that you can socket them with Citrines which give potency.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.

2. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.​

3. Fated Trail - Deals damage over time as a percentage of your life, shatters enemies' armor, and immobilizes enemies.

4. Colossus Engine - Gives increased skill damage, increased area of effect, knockback immunity, and increased size (which increases your movement speed) for a medium duration with a 20 second cooldown.

5. Blood Floe - Lower priority 5 star gem that increases damage, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and causes bleed.

6. Haunt Coil - Increases your damage in offensive stance or reduces your damage taken in defensive stance.

7. Golden Firmament (PvM) - Causes multiple ranged wind damage attacks and increases your evasion rating.

8. Seeping Bile (PvP) - Deals high damage over time that is great for killing opponents after they use a cheat death.

9. Void Spark (PvM) - Deals massive AoE damage that's effective for challenge dungeons, terror rifts, and speed farming.

10. ​Frozen Heart (PvP) - A strong legendary gem for PvP that gives an absorb shield and chills opponents.

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies that have a continuous damage effect on them.

2. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and causes a blood spike that makes enemies bleed.

3. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases your critical hit chance.

4. Fervent Fang - Increases your damage when you hit an enemy stacking up to ten times.​

5. Mourneskull - This legacy gem increases your damage and deals damage but it's currently drop disabled.

6. Grim Rhythm - Gives a stacking attack speed increase for a duration whenever you hit an enemy.

7. Igneous Scorn (PvM) - Deals damage on critical hits and increases your damage after critical hits. Igneous Scorn is the lowest priority 2 star gem and should be the first to be replaced with a ranked up five star gem.​

8. Crimson Behelit - Strong legacy gem with increased damage and reduced damage taken that's drop disabled.

Note: The Viper's Bite gem isn't needed to trigger Pain Clasp because this build already has damage over time effects. Pain Clasp, Crimson Behelit, and Mother's Lament are the top three 2 star gems and should be replaced last.

Best Starter 1 Star Legendary Gems

​1. Misery Elixir - The best 1 star for this build that increases the duration of your DoTs which are then instantly consumed.

2. Berserker's Eye - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.​

3. Entropic Well - A strong one star legendary gem that increases your skill damage and increases your attack speed.

4. Everlasting Torment - Deals damage over time on critical hits and increases your attack speed.

5. Surging Sea - A lower priority one star legendary gem that has a skill damage increase that stacks up to 10 times.

6. Faltergrasp (PvP) - Disables opponents' dash skills on critical strikes and greatly reduces their movement speed.

Note: The Berserker's Eye and Misery Elixir one star gems are powerful on this build and should be replaced last.​

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler with the Savior passive skill which provides a cheat death and temporary damage immunity. The 170+ Resilience is important for lowering the cooldown of Savior.

2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Look for Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.

3. Ash Sweeper - Ash Sweepers are strong, especially in PvP, because they damage nearby enemies and mark an enemy reducing their damage by 20% for 3 seconds. They can also have 170+ Resilience which reduces the cooldown of Savior.

4. Any Savior Familiar - Look for any familiar with great passive skills and Savior which gives a cheat death. Savior can be used to buy time for other cheat deaths like the Undying Rage Barbarian skill and the Gladiator paragon.

5. Rare Duskprowler - Relentless Strikes is the next best skill because it gives a chance to cast the Duskprowler shield twice. Innervate which gives a chance at resetting one of the player's skill cooldowns, Steel Hide which gives a chance to block, Precision which gives critical hit chance, and Tenacity which lowers the cooldown of the shield are also desirable.

​Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems

Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and Citrines for potency to increase harmful effects durations in yellow sockets which are both important for this build. You can combine all of your bound Rubies which give life and use one in a red socket if it gives higher refinement. Refinement is determined by the quality of the gem and it increases the attributes of the gear the gem is socketed in. You can use one or two of your highest refinement Topazes for resistances early on but you will eventually want to make the switch to just Citrines for higher potency. The full duration of your damage over time will be instantly consumed on this build so potency is a major damage increase. You should also socket your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets.

Gem Notes

The new Fated Trail five star gem is a powerful legendary gem once you have high maximum life which is increased with resonance. The fairly new Haunt Coil five star gem can optionally be used to increase your damage or reduce your damage taken by up to 45% for a duration. The Blood Floe gem is a great option when it's combined with multiple sources of increased critical hit chance and critical hit damage. The Colossus Engine gem gives increased skill damage, increased area of effect, increased movement speed (from its size increase), and temporary knockback immunity. The Pain Clasp two star legendary gem increases your damage when there is continuous damage on the enemy and the Angmet's Conflagration set and multiple of the recommended gems deal continuous damage. Golden Firmament is another strong five star gem for this build that has wind damage, increased evasion rating, and it triggers Firestorms when it's paired with burning damage which increases your wind damage. When using multiple increased critical hit chance legendary gems you should also consider rolling critical hit damage on every piece of gear with Reforge Stones for more damage. The Frozen Heart five star legendary gem is also recommended for PvP because it gives a large absorb shield and it chills opponents.​​
