Important Tree Nodes

The best ascendancy order is Gathering Winds, Far Shot, Endless Munitions, and Focal Point. A Watcher's Eye jewel is recommended for increased life, increased energy shield, increased mana, increased critical strike chance while affected by Hatred, increased critical strike multiplier while affected by Precision, and increased attack damage while affected by Precision. A Stormshroud jewel should also be used for elemental ailment immunity when using the recommended boots. The Duration Mastery is extremely important because it greatly decreases your skill effect duration which is important for Kinetic Fusillade to fire attacks faster. The Reservation Mastery should be taken for increased mana reservation efficiency so that you can use the recommended reservation skills. You can get Corrupted Blood immunity from the Resistance Mastery. The Ghost Dance node near the far right of the tree is also helpful because it makes you recover a large amount of energy shield when you are hit. Make sure and take the northern Wand Mastery ignoring the attack speed nodes because increased attack speed can lower your projectile fire rate with Kinetic Fusillade. Note: The skill tree and build ratings are updated for the new season (3.27).

Defensive Layers

You will have a wand and shield with this build using a ranged attack which gives the build great defenses. You will also have elemental ailment immunity with a Stormshroud jewel when using the recommended boots. You also take 25% less damage from enemies near your marked enemy which is great defensively once you allocate the final Focal Point ascendancy.

Reservation Skills

Grace is the best defensive aura for this build because it gives very high evasion. You should use Hatred and Precision as your offensive auras on this build for physical damage as extra cold damage, increased critical strike chance, and increased accuracy. Hatred can be used once you have some of the increased mana nodes, the increased mana reservation efficiency nodes from the Reservation Mastery, and a level four Enlighten Support to lower the mana reservation costs of your skills.

Gem Notes

  1. The key to making Kinetic Fusillade work well is lowering your skill effect duration to fire projectiles more frequently.

  2. Steelskin is the recommended guard skill for this build because Immortal Call requires you to use potions more often and Molten Shell requires very high armour to be effective.

  3. Cold Snap generates Frenzy charges when enemies die in its skill effect area and generates Power charges when it's linked to Power Charge On Critical Support. It will also automatically cast when you take damage with Cast When Damage Taken Support. You should keep your Cold Snap and Cast When Damage Taken Support at level one to trigger more frequently.

  4. Summon Flame Golem gives increased damage, kills enemies with 10% life remaining when using Culling Strike Support, and provides an extra target for enemies to attack.

  5. If you think you would prefer an intelligence stacking Kinetic Blast/Power Siphon build with a high damage ceiling you can also check out the Kinetic Blast/Power Siphon Deadeye Guide here Intelligence Stacking Kinetic Blast Deadeye Guide.
