Magic Find Tornado Shot Deadeye

1. Magic Find Tornado Shot Deadeye (Ranger)

The best magic find build goes to the Tornado Shot Deadeye which is excellent for doing standard rare maps.

Path of Exile Magic Find TS Deadeye A_edited.jpg

Important Tree Nodes

The best ascendancy order is Gathering Winds, Ricochet, Endless Munitions, and Wind Ward. The Leech Mastery with Clever Thief should be taken for 1% life leech and 1% mana leech and works with both physical damage and elemental damage. The increased critical strike chance and increased critical strike multiplier nodes are also important for a huge damage increase once you have a high critical strike chance bow. The Mana Mastery should also be taken for 12% increased mana reservation efficiency so that you can use the recommended reservation skills. This is a magic find build that sacrifices some increased life and defenses on equipment so make sure and pick up all of the nearby life percent nodes on the tree for survival.

Defensive Layers

The Budget Magic Find Tornado Shot Deadeye build has ratings lower than non-magic find builds and they should be. You will have less life than a standard bow build because you will be using magic find items. Tornado Shot is the ideal skill for magic finding on a low budget because it can still survive by not taking hits while dealing damage from afar with an inexpensive tri-elemental bow. The Gathering Winds ascendancy also gives Gale Force which improves your damage and mobility and the Wind Ward ascendancy gives 3% less damage taken per Gale Force.

Reservation Skills

Grace is the best defensive aura for this build and gives very high evasion. Haste increases your attack speed and movement speed and is the best offensive aura for this build. Dread Banner is selected to give a 20% chance to Impale, 20% increased Impale effect, and lowers the accuracy of nearby enemies. Haste can be used once you have the 12% increased mana reservation efficiency from the Mana Mastery and a level 4 Enlighten Support to lower the mana reservation cost of your skills.

Gem Notes

  1. Steelskin is the recommended guard skill for this build because Immortal Call requires you to use potions more often and Molten Shell requires very high armor to be effective.

  2. Blood Rage gives increased attack speed and a chance to generate Frenzy charges on kills. Blood Rage can replace Increased Duration Support in the helmet slot if you can counter the self damage of Blood Rage with life leech.

  3. You should use Increased Critical Strikes Support and Increased Critical Damage Support instead of Awakened Added Cold Damage Support and Awakened Added Lightning Damage Support once you have a bow with high critical strike chance.

  4. Frenzy is linked to Manaforged Arrows Support for utility. Frenzy generates a Frenzy charge on hit, kills enemies at 10% life with Culling Strike Support, and generates Power charges with Power Charge on Critical Support.

  5. Summon Ice Golem gives an increase to critical strike chance and accuracy, replenishes 2% life on Culling Strike, kills enemies at 10% life with Culling Strike Support, and provides an extra target for enemies to attack.

  6. If you would prefer a Ranger build that can make use of a very high damage physical damage bow you can also view the Lightning Arrow Deadeye Guide here Lightning Arrow Deadeye.

You can switch to the higher damage Ice Shot with Volley Support at level 4 and to Lesser Multiple Projectile Support at level 12. Tornado Shot which is your endgame skill can be used once you reach level 28. Make sure and pick up a Steelskin gem once you've reached level four and have 16 strength for a defensive guard skill. Dash also requires level four and can be used as your travel skill early in the game.

Upgrades

Death's Harp is a great upgrade to Roth's Reach at level 32. You can later upgrade your bow to Death's Opus at level 44 for a bow with high critical strike modifiers and two additional arrowsCarnage Heart is the budget amulet for the build and can be equipped as early as level 20 for up to 56 to all attributes and 20% increased elemental resistances. You can also upgrade to two Praxis rings at level 22 to reduce the mana costs of all skills by up to 16 which allows you to use utility flasks instead of mana flasks.
