Important Tree Nodes

The best ascendancy order is Far Shot, Endless Munitions, Gathering Winds, and Wind Ward. Make sure and travel up the right side of the tree to the northern Wand Mastery for a huge damage increase for your wand attacks. You should also take the Leech Mastery with the Clever Thief node for 1% life leech on attacks and 1% mana leech on attacks which also works with elemental damage. A Watcher's Eye jewel is recommended for increased life, increased energy shield, increased mana, 100% increased critical strike chance while affected by Wrath, and optionally damage penetrates 15% lightning resistance while affected by Wrath. The Reservation Mastery is also important for 24% increased mana reservation efficiency which allows you to use the recommended reservation skills. A Stormshroud jewel makes Shock avoidance apply to all elemental ailments and is highly recommended for 100% elemental ailment avoidance with the recommended bootsA The Interrogation cluster jewel should also be used to make your critical strikes cause Brittle, Sapped, and Scorched instead of Ignite, Chill, and Shock and should be paired with the Shock and Chill from Summon Skitterbots for five elemental ailments. The Interrogation cluster jewel and Summon Skitterbots are used because Elemental Hit of the Spectrum deals 15% more damage per elemental ailment on the enemy. You can also use a Summon Flame Golem linked to Combustion Support to Ignite enemies for another elemental ailment. The recommended corrupted Piscator's Vigil weapon has a high critical strike chance so aim for a 100% critical strike chance from the tree and your equipment. This is a life build so make sure and take a healthy amount of the nearby life nodes on the tree for survival. Note: The skill tree above has been updated for the new season (3.25).

Defensive Layers

The Wind Ward ascendancy gives Gale Force which improves Tailwind for increased action speed and movement speed. The Gathering Winds ascendancy gives damage reduction per stack of Gale Force. Elemental Hit can also inflict elemental ailments which can improve your survivability. You will also block attacks and spells with this build which is helpful defensively.

Reservation Skills

Grace is the best defensive aura for this build and gives very high evasion. Wrath is the best offensive aura for this build and gives high added lightning damage. Aspect of the Cat is free with the recommended Farrul's Fur body armour and gives a 100% increased critical strike chance/chance to avoid all damage at times and 10% increased attack speed at times switching back and forth. Summon Skitterbots gives Chill and Shock and adds two elemental ailments for the 15% more damage per elemental ailment with the quality on the Elemental Hit of the Spectrum gem. Wrath can be used once you have the increased mana reservation efficiency from the Reservation Mastery, the socketed gems have 30% increased reservation efficiency modifier on a shield, and a level 4 Enlighten Support to lower the reservation cost of your skills.

Gem Notes

  1. Steelskin is the recommended guard skill for this build because Immortal Call requires you to use potions more often and Molten Shell requires very high armour to be effective.

  2. Sniper's Mark increases your projectile damage and makes attacks split from the enemy to two additional targets. It can be used once you have Vixen's Entrapment unique gloves preferably with an Elemental Weakness curse on hit corruption which has an additional curse which is explained in the equipment section below.

  3. Summon Flame Golem gives increased damage, Ignites enemies with Combustion Support which gives 15% more damage with the quality on the Elemental Hit of the Spectrum gem, gives enemies -10% fire resistance with Combustion Support, gives fire exposure with Elemental Army Support, and provides an extra target for enemies to attack.

  4. If you think you would prefer to play Elemental Hit as a bow build which has similar damage but less defenses you can also check out the bow Elemental Hit of the Spectrum guide which can be found here Elemental Hit of the Spectrum Raider.
