Top 5 PvP Sorceress Builds
1. Blizzard Sorceress (Blizz Sorc)
The top pick goes to the Blizzard Sorceress. Blizzard is ranked the best PvP Sorceress in these rankings and rightfully so. They're notorious for being difficult to absorb and one shotting and/or two shotting their opponents.
Recommendation: Blizzard Sorceress
Stats: Enough Strength for gear, no Dexterity, all remaining points in Vitality, no Energy

2. Frozen Orb Sorceress (With Ice Blast)
Frozen Orb and Ice Blast have cold resistance penetration and Frozen Orb has screen wide damage which makes it much easier to aim for moving targets. Ice Blast is fully synergized which means you can use it to Teleport stomp opponents to quickly finish them off. Frozen Orb can still be absorbed like most Sorceress builds which makes Frozen Orb Sorceress come in at second place.

3. Nova Sorceress (With Energy Shield)
Nova Sorceresses are powerful in PvP primarily because they wield Infinity for level 12 Conviction which lowers the resistances of enemies and Infinity also gives up to an additional -55% lightning resistance to enemies when it's wielded by the Sorceress. When Infinity is combined with Griffon's Eye which lowers the lightning resistance of enemies it makes Nova difficult to absorb. Using Infinity also allows your mercenary to use Insight for high mana regeneration for Energy Shield which helps with survival.
Recommendation: Nova Sorceress
Stats: Enough strength for gear, 0 Dexterity, all remaining points split between Vitality and Energy

4. Fire Ball Sorceress (With Energy Shield)
Fire Ball Sorceresses make great low level duelers but fire damage is easily absorbed which lowers Fire Ball in the rankings. Fire Ball doesn't require a high number of points to synergize it which means you can spend points in Telekinesis to improve your survival with Energy Shield. Fire Ball is also excellent for PvM now that there is a Flame Rift sunder charm to eliminate fire immunities.
Recommendation: Fire Ball Sorceress
Stats: Enough Strength for gear, 0 Dexterity, all remaining points should be split between Vitality and Energy

5. Lightning Sorceress (A PvM favorite)
Lightning is a PvM favorite of many because Infinity on a mercenary can be used to break almost all lightning immunities in the game. However, with the addition of sunder grand charms other Sorceresses can now also break immunities. Lightning is still one of the top rated PvM Sorceress skills but Lightning isn't typically recommended for PvP which is why it's currently in fifth place.
Recommendation: Lightning Sorceress
Stats: Enough Strength for gear, enough Dexterity for maximum block (optional), the rest in Vitality, 0 in Energy

Honorable Mention: Enchant Bow Sorceress (With Hydra)
Enchant Bow Sorceress is somewhat a meme build but nevertheless it's strong against many builds in PvP. It's a fun alternative build to try and has the advantage of having a homing Guided Arrow attack with a much faster Teleport than Bow Amazons.
Recommendation: Enchant Bow Hydra Sorceress
Stats: Enough Strength for gear, enough Dexterity for your bow, all remaining points should be split between Vitality and Energy

PvP Sorceress Tips:
1. Sorceresses that give their opponent a huge amount of negative resistances like Blizzard Sorceresses, Frozen Orb Ice Blast Sorceresses, and Nova Sorceresses have a major advantage in PvP compared to other Sorceress builds because they're difficult to absorb. This is one of the biggest reasons why these three skills are rated the top three PvP Sorceress builds in our rankings.
2. When dueling cold builds and poison damage builds you can use Thawing Potions and Antidote Potions to increase your cold resistance by 50 and poison resistance by 50 and your maximum cold resistance by 10 and maximum poison resistance by 10.
3. It's usually not beneficial in PvP to chase minor amounts of negative resistances over items with better damage. If you can increase negative resistances to very high amounts, however, it's definitely worth it for PvP. An example of this would be Phoenix Shield on a Fire Sorceress. Typically a Spirit Monarch beats the Phoenix runeword in PvP because it provides a small amount of negative fire resistance instead of plus 2 to all skills, 35% faster cast rate, and 55% faster hit recovery. Spirit is recommended over Phoenix for PvP because most opponents have high enough over stacked resistances to make lowered resists less effective.
4. The Insight runeword is great with Energy Shield builds because it gives very high mana regeneration. Energy Shield is a strong defensive that makes you take some of your damage to mana and Telekinesis can lower the amount of damage taken to your mana.
5. You should focus on not getting hit on Sorceress when you are Teleporting around while PvPing. Some Sorceress builds are more difficult to aim like Fire Sorceress and Blizzard Sorceress but you should still try to keep your distance. The exception to this rule is when you're Teleport stomping an opponent which means teleporting on top of them and casting your close range skills to quickly finish them off. Teleport stomping is a great tactic that counters multiple builds when the opponent can be easily finished.
6. Over stacking elemental absorb is considered bad manners in PvP but this is often ignored by many players. When PvPing one of the greatest weaknesses of Sorceresses is when people over stack their resistances and use several elemental absorb items.
7. The fast Teleport speed of a Sorceress gives them a major advantage when dueling. If you fight defensively it can be very difficult to defeat a strong Sorceress in PvP. Try not to get too caught up in chasing opponents because it's usually better to duel defensively.
