Top Skyrim Tips

1. There is a wagon outside of Whiterun that will take you to any major city in the game so you don't need to walk long distances or ride a horse to get to far away towns.

2. Solitude's potion shop is a great place to get Enchanter's Elixirs and Blacksmith's Elixirs but, it may take many tries to get them to appear in the seller's inventory. You can cycle the shops inventory using the in game wait option for 48 hours until they appear.

3. Weapon damage can be increased beyond legendary damage using a Blacksmith's Elixir and a fully enchanted Fortify Smithing set made with an Enchanter's Elixir.

4. Weapons enchanted with the Banish enchant are the best items to enchant and sell for profit but, the Banish enchant can be somewhat rare to find. When enchanting for profit, use the highest potency enchant with the fewest charges for the highest gold return.

5. You can trap critters in petty soul gems with the Soul Trap spell to level your Conjuration. You can then craft iron daggers with Smithing and enchant them to level your Smithing and Enchanting. All three of these skills are very important in legendary difficulty.

6. Followers and Conjuration minions are very important on legendary difficulty because you won't be able to tank enemies for their full damage alone. Lydia is received early in the main quest, has great defenses with a shield, and uses heavy armor which will help keep her alive and fighting on legendary difficulty.

7. It is highly recommended that you smith and enchant your followers gear when playing Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on legendary difficulty. Followers do not receive the damage penalty for the difficulty that affects the player.

8. Giving your follower a powerful bow is not necessary because your follower will simply switch back to their default bow after a short time. However, giving your follower a single high level arrow will help significantly because it will give them an infinite hidden supply of the arrow.

9. Mara's Temple in Riften has a quest named "Agent of Mara" that will give you 15 points to your Magicka Resist. It's a very easy quest with little fighting involved.

10. Frostflow Lighthouse on the map has a quest that increases the potency of your healing spells by 10%. Your follower will not jump down to the bottom level during the boss fight so, having a Frost Atronach to tank is highly recommended for the final part of the dungeon.

11. The Unfathomable Depths quest starts a side quest called The Ancient Knowledge. This quest gives you a bonus to all armors except dwarven armor and a fifteen percent bonus to Smithing in old versions of the game. Newly patched versions of the game instead give you a boost in armor rating for dwarven armors and a fifteen percent bonus to Smithing as was originally intended by the game developers.

12. The quickest way to level Smithing is to find or buy iron ingots and dwarven ingots and use them to create iron daggers and dwarven bows. Make sure to keep all of your beast pelts to create leather straps for use in Smithing.

13. And that's it for tips! Best of luck on mastering Skyrim on legendary difficulty!
