Bazaar Super Weapons
Below is a guide on how you can create the Bazaar Super Weapons in FFXII: The Zodiac Age.
Mithuna: The highest damage gun. Farmable once you can enter Nabreus Deadlands.
Purchased through the bazaar after selling 2 Emperor Scales, 3 Silver Liquids, and 8 Earth Crystals.
3 Silver Liquids- Common drop from Foobars that are present in multiple area of the Nabreus Deadlands.
8 Earth Crystals- Common drop from Killer Mantises in Lhusu Mines (Site 9 and 11) or Elvorets in the Necrohol of Nabudis.
2 Emperor Scales- Dragoon's Monograph drop from Archaeoaevis in Zertinan Caverns (Balamka South) and is a rare steal from Elder Wyrm and Deathgaze.
Note: The Archaeoaevis are tougher than most espers. You will need the Cleanse spell or Remedy Lore 3 to get rid of Disease before fighting them. They have a fair bit of health so right before killing them you can zone to create a save spot and if the Archaeoaevis' don't drop the Emperor Scale, you can reload the save file with the Archaeoaevis still at low health. Bring a healthy supply of Ethers, Remedies, and Phoenix Downs for the fight. It is a tough one. If the fight is too hard at your current stage in the game you can always zone out to heal and then go back in as much as needed. If you want an easier path that is available later in the game, you can steal Emperor Scales from Elder Wyrm, a story line boss, and then later Deathgaze, a mark for a Rank VII hunt. After all the items have been farmed and sold you can buy the Mithuna for 120k from the bazaar.
Kanya: The highest damage pole for Monk. Farmable once you can enter Pharos.
Purchased through the bazaar after selling 3 Mythril, 3 Corpse Flies, and 4 Aquarius Gems.
3 Mythril- Scholar's Monograph drop from Mythril Golems in Giruvegan (Water-Steps).
3 Corpse Flies- Dragoon's Monograph drop and steal from Dragon Lich in Pharos (Second Ascent).
4 Aquarius Gems- Drop from Brainpan and Diedar in Pharos (First Ascent), Mythril Golems in Giruvegan (Water-Steps), and golems in The Feywood. Aquarius Gems can also be stolen from Famfrit, Diedars, Facers, and Treants.
Note: You will receive one free Mythril from the Roblon hunt. Mythril Golems in Giruvegan are probably the quickest farm because they both drop Mythril and Aquarius Gems. Brainpans in Pharos (First Ascent) drop Aquarius Gems and are a part of the main storyline. Diedar in Pharos also drop Aquarius Gems and are needed to access a chest that contains the Holy spell. So you may have some Aquarius Gems already. Once all the items have been farmed and sold you can buy Kanya for 60k from the bazaar.
Kumbha: The highest damage katana for Bushi. Farmable once you can enter Pharos.
Purchased through the bazaar after selling 2 Mallets, 2 Gemsteel, and 3 Orichalcum.
2 Mallets- Mage's Monograph drop from Purobolos in Pharos (Third Ascent).
2 Gemsteel- Purchased from the bazaar recipe Matchless Metal.
3 Orichalcum- Scholar's Monograph drop from Diedar in Pharos (first Ascent) or stolen from Vishno in Pharos (First Ascent).
Note: You may have received a free Mallet from Monblanc for defeating King Bomb. Also there is a free Gemsteel received from Montblanc after acquiring eight espers. After all the items have been farmed and sold you can buy Kumbha for 350k from the bazaar.
Gemsteel- Purchased through the bazaar after selling 1 Scarletite, 2 Damascus Steel, and 2 Hell Gate's Flame.
1 Scarletites- Hunter's Monograph drop from Emeralditan in Nabreus Deadland (Echoes of the Past or Slumbermead).
2 Damascus Steel- Knight's Monograph drop from Bune in Pharos (Second Ascent) or Subterra (Penumbra).
2 Hell Gate's Flames- Hunter's Monograph drop form Cerberus in Feywood (Walk of Stolen Truths).
Note: Damascus Steel can also be stolen from Daedalus (a storyline boss before Giruvegan), Anchag (spawned by killing all 12 enemies in the Karydine Glacier), or Bluesang (chance to spawn in the Cerobi Steppe - Crossfields windmill area). As an added note, if you are acquiring Damascus Steel from Bluesang do not kill him. Zone twice and back and then steal from Bluesang again until you have enough. This is because he does not respawn. Once all the items have been farmed and sold you can buy Gemsteel for 29,997 gil from the bazaar.
Vrscika: The highest damage hammer for Foebreaker. Farmable after reaching Henne Mines.
Purchased through the bazaar after selling 4 Sagittarius Gems, 3 Beastlord Horns, and 3 Moon Rings.
3 Charred Gizzards- Knight's Monograph drop or Poach from Thunder Bugs in Henne Mines (Phase 1 Dig Site/Crossover B).
4 Scorpio Gems- A drop and steal from Grenades in Zertinan Caverns (Hourglass Basin).
3 Wyrm Bones- Warmage's Monograph drop or can be stolen from Skulwyrms in Zertinan Caverns (Drybeam Caverns)
Note: This weapon is farmable after your first visit to Henne Mines (very early in the game). After all the items have been farmed and sold you can buy the Vrscika for 70k from the bazaar.
Dhanusha: The highest damage bow for Archer. Farmable after defeating Exodus.
Purchased through the bazaar after selling 4 Sagittarius Gems, 3 Beastlord Horns, and 3 Moon Rings.
4 Sagittarius Gems- Stolen from Shemhazai, Foobars, or Slimes. Slimes are found in Zertinan Caverns (Invitation to Heresy).
3 Beastlord Horns- Knight's Monograph drop from Humbaba in Mosphoran Highwaste (Empyrean Way).
3 Moon Rings- Dragoon's Monograph drop from Ash Wyrms in Mosphoran Highwaste (Empyrean Seat) and the Great
Crystal (Sirhru Pis Avaa, Uldobi Jilaam Praa, Uldobi Jilaam Pratii).
Note: One Moon Ring is rewarded for the Ring Wyrm hunt. Once all the items have been farmed and sold you can buy the Dhanusa for 100k from the bazaar.
Tournesol: The highest damage greatsword for Knight. Farmable after events at Giruvegan.
Purchased through the bazaar after selling 3 Gemsteel, 3 Empyreal Soul, and 3 Serpentarius.
3 Gemsteel- Purchased from the bazaar recipe Matchless Steel.
3 Empyreal Souls- Purchased from the bazaar recipe Jewel of Creation.
3 Serpentarius- Purchased from the bazaar recipe Jewel of the Serpent and can also be stolen from Ultima and/or Zodiark.
Note: A free Gemsteel is received from Montblanc from Clan Centurio after acquiring eight espers. After all the items have been farmed and sold you can buy Tournesol for 600k from the bazaar.
Gemsteel- Purchased through the bazaar after selling 1 Scarletite, 2 Damascus Steel, and 2 Hell Gate's Flame.
1 Scarletite- Hunter's Monograph drop from Emeralditans in Nabreus Deadland (Echoes of the Past or Slumbermead).
2 Damascus Steel- Knight's Monograph drop from Bunes in Pharos (Second Ascent) and Subterra (Penumbra).
2 Hell Gate's Flames- Hunter's Monograph drop from Cerberus in Feywood (Walk of Stolen Truths).
Note: Damascus Steel can also be stolen from Daedalus (a storyline boss before Giruvegan), Anchag (spawned by killing all 12 enemies in the Karydine Glacier), or Bluesang (which has a chance to spawn in the Cerobi Steppe - Crossfields near the windmill). Empyreal Soul- Purchased through the bazaar after selling 2 Wargod's Bands, 1 Soul Powder, and 1 High Arcana.
2 Wargod's Bands- Warmage's Monograph drop from Leynirs in Nabreus Deadland (Lifeless Strand).
1 Soul Powder- Warmage's Monograph drop from Etems in Henne Mines (Special Charter Shaft).
1 High Arcana- Purchased from the bazaar with materials that require the Canopic Jar (see note below for more info), rare steal from all esper fights, and a rare drop from bosses once the Canopic Jar has been purchased.
Note: The Canopic Jar is purchased from the bazaar for 250k after selling a Horakhty's Flame, a Phobos Glaze, and a Deimos Clay all of which are received as rewards for various hunts. One High Arcana is rewarded to you by Montblanc after obtaining 4 espers. Also one Soul Powder is rewarded to you after completion of the Ixtab hunt. After all the items have been farmed and sold you can buy an Empyreal Soul for 29,997 gil from the bazaar.
High Arcana- Purchased from the bazaar after selling 10 Arcana, 1 Feystone, 1 Soul of Thamasa.
10 Arcana- Drop from regular monsters once the Canopic Jar has been purchased from the bazaar.
1 Feystone- Dropped and stolen from Entites and Elementals.
1 Soul of Thamasa- Monograph drop from Oversouls and stolen from Ishteens.
Note: A Soul of Thamasa is rewarded to you for the Deathscythe hunt. Once all the items have been farmed and sold you can buy High Arcana for 9,999 gil form the bazaar.
Serpentarius - Purchased from the bazaar after selling 4 Snake Skins, 2 Serpent Eyes, and 1 High Arcana.
4 Snake Skins- Dropped and stolen from Wildsnakes in the Giza Plains (Toam Hills during the dry season).
2 Serpent Eyes- Hunter's Monograph drop from Basilisks in multiple zones in The Feywood.
1 High Arcana- Purchased from the bazaar once the Canopic Jar has been purchased from the bazaar. Also a rare steal from all espers or a drop from bosses after the Canopic Jar has been purchased from the bazaar.
Note: The Canopic Jar is purchased from the bazaar for 250k after selling a Horakhty's Flame, a Phobos Glaze, and a Deimos Clay. All three of these items are received as hunt rewards. One High Arcana is rewarded to you by Montblanc after obtaining 4 espers and one Serpent Eye is rewarded to you for the Marilith hunt. After all the items have been farmed and sold you can buy Serpentarius for 19,998 gil from the bazaar.
Mesa: Highest damage Ninja Sword. Farmable once you reach The Phon Coast.
Purchased through the bazaar after selling 2 Sickle-Blades, 3 Cancer Gems, and 2 Coeurl Whiskers
3 Cancer Gems- Drop and steal from Preying Mantises in several areas within The Feywood. Rare steal from Scythe Mantises in Zertinan Caverns (Hourglass Basin). Rare drop from Killer Mantises in Lhusu Mines (Site 9 and Site 11).
2 Sickle-Blades- Knight's Monograph drop from Preying Mantis in multiple areas of The Feywood. Rare steal from the rare game Rageclaw in Salikawood (Piebald Path).
2 Coeurl Whiskers- Hunter's Monograph drop from Ose in The Great Crystal and rare steal from the rare game Grimalkin in the Tchita Uplands (Uazcuff Hills).
Note: One Sickle-Blade is rewarded after the Antlion hunt (which unlocks Lhusu Mines Site 9 where you can find Cancer Gems from Killer Mantises). If you really want to get Mesa earlier in the game you can steal Coeurl Whiskers from Grimalkin (a rare game with a 10% chance of spawning in the place of a Coeurl) but, don't kill him. Instead zone out and back in and then steal from him again because Grimalkin does not respawn. To get Mesa early, you can also steal a Sickle-Blade from Rageclaw who spawns near one of the exits after one minute passes (without killing any monsters in the area) in Salikawood (Piebald Path). The other Sickle-Blade can come from the Antlion hunt. If you don't have the Sickle-Blade from the Antlion hunt, you may want to exit and reenter after stealing from Rageclaw because he also does not respawn. After all the items are farmed and sold you can buy Mesa for 90k gil from the bazaar.
Wyrmhero Blade: The Sword with the highest combo rate in the game.
Purchased through the bazaar after selling 1 Lu Shang's Badge, 1 Godslayer's Badge, and 1 Omega Badge.
1 Lu Shang's Badge- Rewarded after completion of the "Den of the River Lord" section of the fishing mini game.
1 Godslayer's Badge- Rewarded after defeating Yiazmat.
1 Omega Badge- Drop from Omega Mark XII. This item is easy to miss as it is dropped rather than rewarded. Make sure to pick it up after his defeat.
Note: This is a reward for completion of the most difficult content in the game outside of Trial Mode. Wyrmhero Blade can be equipped without licenses. After all the items are farmed and sold you can buy Wyrmhero Blade for 65,535 gil from the bazaar.
Note: Make sure to hold on to all the items used in these recipes and sell them at the same time as some bazaar recipes share ingredients. Best of luck accessing some of the best weapons in FFXII: The Zodiac Age...
